It's Bruce Dern's birthday, he's terrific, just pick anything, but Coming Home is one of my favorite movies and he's in it. He is also the reason we have Laura Dern, so that's an added bonus.

First time watching Tom Noonan's film What Happened Was... (1994). A one location movie about two coworkers trying to connect on a first date. The setting is very intimate but the ever present backdrop is an ominous building full of people seemingly alone and isolated in their NYC apartments. #FW

I was truly surprised by the seriousness of the twist and perhaps the movie doesn't fully work the consequences out, but I enjoyed The Drama and found the dilemma at it's heart interesting to ponder... what would I do in his shoes?
This movie reminds me of Uncut Gems for the anxiety inducing experiences of the main character. It melds multiple genres together very successfully in the hands of Mary Bronstein and centers around a great performance from Rose Byrne as a mother dealing with overwhelming responsibility.
I loved Bradley Cooper's IS THIS THING ON? I thought it was touching and funny throughout with fantastic performances from Arnett and Dern. #Firstwatches
