Same. Lived in Portland for 11 years. I took the MAX train sporadically, and encountered disturbed people behaving in violent and aggressive ways almost every time I did. I'm grateful that my kiddo is now growing up in a city where there is almost never such behavio(u)r on public transport.

I frequently get accused of using AI to write, but I have literally NEVER used any kind of AI to brainstorm, write, or edit any kind of textual document at all. 🤷🏻♂️ This, on Reddit last year, was for me a particularly memorable example of being accused of writing with an LLM.

In the case of "México", there were attempts to change its spelling to "Méjico", mainly in SPAIN. Mexico did not particularly appreciate having its spelling altered like this, and eventually Spain threw in the towel on the spelling, maybe 20-30 years ago. www.quora.com/Are-there-an...
Great read! Your conclusion here is strikingly similar to the reason "México" is spelled ⟨x⟩ in Spanish, even though—through a combination of sound change and spelling reform—that letter's pronunciation has completely diverged from how it's pronounced in all other modern Spanish words.
A weird tic of Google AI overviews is using "famously" to describe obscure/niche events. Although interesting to ME🤓, James Gosling's thoughts about C# could not plausibly be described as "famous." This seems like part of ChatBot LLMs' overall pattern of flattering and complimenting their users.

Robert Kraft is yet another billionaire who owns private jets that have been used in deportation flights. So I added this to his @wikipedia.org article as well. Kraft seems more conscious about his public image. It seems he wants to avoid association with the Trump administration's deportations.
