4/4 Last pic is a behind the scenes pic. My photo process has gotten a lot better over time as well. Bandai, please release more uma kits.
3/4 I had a pretty clear vision for this build, but getting colors right is always so difficult for my colorblind ass. Got to try out some new techniques, like scratch-building a few elements, and changing the dimensions of others.
2/4 The inspiration is the Gundam umamusume herself, Mihono Bourbon, and unlike my previous attempt, the colors are a lot closer. Also inspired by the Ex-S Gundam, at least as far as the backpack shape and long gun.
1/4 More uma shenanigans. Base kit is a 30MS Belveria-Berys. Kit-bashed parts include RG 2.0 Gramps, 30MM propellant tank, and a Demi Trainer gun. Some parts were fabricated (ahoge, parts of her hip thrusters) or modified (shoulder/ankle armor). #gunpla #gunplacommunity #umamusume

2/2 Some static shots. Honestly, botched the top coat a bit on this one owing to a minor clog in my airbrush that I didn't catch until I was cleaning it, but it's fine for the shelf.

2/2 The light gray is a tad warmer than I expected, but not in a bad way. Plenty of little mistakes visible when handling, but fine and fantastic shelf presence. This is also my first go with my new photo set up.
1/2 1/100 ZZA GUS The Gus is supposed to be an up-designed Jesta, but I couldn't help but feel the original color scheme was too busy. This is my attempt to let the kit's surface details do the talking. #gunpla #gundam #gunplacommunity
This is also my second kit using Liquitex Matte Varnish. I really like it, but I'm still finding an optimal spray distance and pressure. Had to do some touch ups with a varnish pen.
1/3 KO Gundam Zirius. Such a cool design that I had to build it. Typical Ki problems, but this gave me a chance to practice some heavier weathering than I usually do. #gunpla #gundam #gundamcommunity
1/2 Take 2. I don't think my original photos did this kit justice. I also think it made me a bit pessimistic. Back to my black background. Mihaly Dumitru Margareta Cornelius Leopold Blanca Karol Aeon Ignatius Raphael Maria Niketas A. Shilage's Gyan (I forgot how ridiculous his full name is.)
You'll notice the lack of Hakuji-Packs pics, because it's a pain in the ass to pose with. And it (and the shield) make it way too busy. The MS itself turned out fine (if a bit too dark), but I regret putting so much orange on the shield. Still, things learned from this one. Onward and upward.
1/2 HG Xavier's Gyan in Sol 1's livery. Ok, that's a lot. Sol 1 is the main enemy ace in Ace Combat 7. I was looking for something to do with this Gyan, and the news of Ace Combat 8 got me excited. That said it came out ok? More in the next post. #gunpla #gundam #acecombat7
2/2 Some action poses. Despite the Seed action-system, surprisingly limited articulation in the ankles and shoulders, though understandable given how bulky the latter are.
1/2 A palate cleanser after a few more complicated builds, but also a chance to try out a new (to me) varnish. Liquitex Matte Varnish thinned 1:1 with Liquitex Airbrush Medium. Great finish and even greater value proposition. #gundam #gunpla #gunplacommunity
The Mandalorian and Grogu was a lot more fun and entertaining than I was expecting. Get ready to say awwww a lot! Also, the theater had this swanky cantina set up. #starwars #themandalorianandgrogu
2/2 Some more static poses. I also lost a piece to the void that is my room. See it you can spot it. The last picture gives the best view of the missing piece, as well as the thrusters I added to make it more accurate to Katoki's redesign.
1/2 Man am I glad this build is over. I can't argue with the end results, but literal blood, sweat and tears in this one. Poor fitment and missing details are probably the biggest offenders here, but this really emphasizes how much more I enjoy HG kits. #gunpla #gundam #gunplacommunity
2/2 My other hobby is custom mechanical keyboards, and one of my favorite keysets in GMK Mars Cadet. Thus the ReZeon markings. This is my first time doing pre-shading, and I think it turned out pretty OK! This marks my third custom Build Fighters kit, and I've got the one more in the backlog.

3/3 In person, you can see that the top coat pulled towards the edges. My theory is that I was using a PSI a bit too high for my thinning ratio, causing the top coat to hit the surface and disperse towards the edges. Further testing will be required.
2/3 Very nice articulation, though I wish the head/neck were more flexible. Also, though it's not visible in the pictures, I messed up the top coat on this one. Or rather, I'm using new top coat (Gaia Notes Ex- Flat Clear), and I'm still getting used to it.
1/3 Plamo Loving Alien's 1/100 Amuro Use Jieda Or Jeda (or Jeddah). A fun build that made me miss Bandai's clever engineering. Still great value for something with menacing shelf-presence. #gunpla #gundam #gunplacommunity
A few more pics. Like the Ez8, articulation ain't the best. I'm in love with the colors though. Decals are pretty much whatever I thought fit, rather than being lore-accurate.

Some isolated shots. The kanji on the shield are hand-painted. The first picture is the best attempt at her character art pose. Her S.H.I.R.A.O.K.I. Full Armor Unit uses parts from the Powereder Powe Arms and Valuable Pod Option sets, and MS Builder Propellant Tanks. Ms Nya is 3d printed.
