IMHO, most voters don't care about the punditry or political esthetics of more towards the left or more towards the center... The vast majority of Democratic voters agree that this economic system isn't working for them and lawmakers need to make it *fairer*.

I saw the new NYT poll of Democratic voters, & noticed that almost 90% agree that the economic system in America is *unfair* to most Americans & needs change. American adherence to freedom of navigation

In reality Repubs are splintering. Dems keep bringing stand alone funding for DHS agencies except ICE, & Reps keep voting against the funding for TSA, Coast Guard, CISA & others when we're in the middle of a war. If Dems owned as many media outlets as Repubs, this would've been a massive scandal.

The only thing more egregious than the DOJ violating the First Amendment by trying to imprison them for their speech, is the frontal assault on Article I, Section 6, Clause 1 (Speech & Debate privileges of Congress).

The NYT should have learned the lessons of sanewashing coverage of 2024, but clearly they didn't. This is the actual statement from the Senator about the DHS reforms proposals sitting in Congress right now... The statement seems to take a very different take than the NYT's puff piece spin.

Alexander Kueng were found to have deprived Mr. Floyd of his constitutional right to be free from an officer’s unreasonable force when each willfully failed to intervene to stop former MPD Officer Derek Chauvin’s use of unreasonable force, resulting in bodily injury to and the death of Mr. Floyd. Thao, Kueng and former MPD Officer Thomas Lane also were found to have deprived Mr. Floyd of his constitutional right to be free from a police officer’s deliberate indifference to his serious medical needs when they saw him restrained in police custody in clear need of medical care and willfully failed to aid him, resulting in bodily injury to and the death of Mr. Floyd. Both offenses are violations of Title 18, U.S. Code, Section 242.
