Incredibly disappointed in the NYT. (I know, I know: why am I still reading them at all? This is one of those days I wonder why I pay them even $8/month.) That headline does not begin to tell the story here, and journalists should do the work to figure it out. Do better.

Been a minute since I’d been to pay my respects, since I didn’t make it for the 30-yr anniversary. But Kid 2.0 and I were in the neighborhood today, so I took her to see Kurt’s bench. Lot more elaborate than it used to be. Still miss him.
I bought a plush peanut bag charm (faux Jellycat). Kid 2.0 asked his name; I said “Chad.” Since Chad means something very different to kids, I had to explain the 2000 US presidential election. Anyway, here is (Hanging) Chad.

Some are names Olaf gave the Snotmen. Some are named from where I caught them. And one time at a particularly slow Mariners game, I caught a bunch and named them for philosophers, then moved onto revolutionaries. (2/3)
