Avocado salsa snack time!

I have been reading up a storm this week since it’s been so hot and now with the smoke coming from the Canada fires. I have been just staying indoors.

In the summer, I have so much more inspiration and desire to make yummy food. Our tomatoes in the garden aren’t ready yet, but the basil was flourishing. My daughter freaked out and remembered me making bruschetta last summer. We put some together tonight.

Homemade pizza night is a great way to end this busy week.

We had cheeseburger casserole for dinner. The kids were excited.

Teacher Appreciation looks at little different at the high school level. Today it came in the form of donuts. Some sweet students of mine felt the need to bring some in, and I was lucky to have that happen twice today.

I love how creative my students can get. Someone asked if they could “go rogue” a bit on our one pager assignment.

Bang bang shrimp bowls is what’s for dinner.

I love our amazing FACS teachers for many reasons, but I love how they encourage students to share their hard work with others. I had the most amazing chicken gyro from one of my 10th graders. It was fun to praise her for the hard work her group did.

I made a pasta salad for our department potluck tomorrow to celebrate one of our coworkers birthdays and the last day before Spring Break.
