I finally read Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton this year. It is such an easy and entertaining read. The science is fun and accessible. If you like the movies and haven't read this, you absolutely should.

Ink Blood Sister Scribe by Emma Törzs is a contemporary fantasy with a truly unique premise. I could not put this book down. As a bonus, the author is extremely unproblematic, and outspokenly so.

Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus is one I can't believe I waited to read until this year. It was absolutely phenomenal from cover to cover. I laughed, I cried, I rated it 5 stars. Enough said.
