I’m retired and do art classes. I like to challenge popular opinions. My terrier Rosie helps me keep fit. I speak Dutch. My motto: be true to yourself, do your own thing, but be respectful towards others. No DMs, I’m too busy stressing over Leeds United!

My latest sketch: Anselm Keifer posing in his studio. Original photo made by Anton Corbijn.
My late father was called up for army service in 1939 and got demobbed in 1946. When not on duty he made pencil sketches of film stars in his barrack room. Here are a few examples of his efforts.
My latest sketch, done with 2 pencils. It’s based on an etching by Rembrandt who was a master of shading.
Maybe they want to get the old shed and the old north stand back because they miss the mass huddle during heavy rain.
My take on Man United after all their moaning and whining during the game and after:
People who want to know more about the history of the colonisation of Palestine and the systematic ethnic cleansing of the Arab population should read this book written by an Israeli academic who had access to the Israelite state archives and Ben Gurion’s diaries. The book is based on his findings.
Art class exercise: paint a mirror using only black and white paint, then add an object that is out of place using one additional colour.
