This was a nice event that I attended with my daughter. They even gave away T-shirts designed by the muralist! #Brewers #Fitchburg #mural
"Ladies and gentlemen... Johnny Cash!" The Man in Black, in mural form, along old Route 66 in Springfield, Illinois.
👋🏻 Hello from Robin Roberts Stadium! We're here to see our first #WPBL game! ⚾
I could see it from my hotel room! Also visited it in person. Love it
Enjoyed Robert Fitts' talk about the Japanese baseball fan experience so much I bought his book. Should be a good read. #SABR54
Cleveland Guardians batting practice. Photo includes the exact spot where the curse was broken 10 years ago. #IYKYK
This photo hardly does it justice, but I can see the Terminal Tower lit up in red, white and blue out my hotel window! #Cleveland
The Cuyahoga County Courthouse, located across the street from the #SABR54 convention site.
It was great listening to Bob Kendrick of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum chat during tonight's #SABR54 welcome reception. Of course, this came as no surprise, for the man is a master storyteller.
In case you're wondering - and I'm sure very few of you are - this is my first visit to Classic Park in 12 years. Last time I was here, you could sit in these bleachers, there was a lighthouse on the outfield berm, and Lake County's parent team had a more offensive name.
3-3 now in bottom 6th. Time for ice cream in a mini helmet. Good selection of flavors here. I picked Superman since I'm in Cleveland for the #SABR54 convention, and the character was created by Cleveland natives (Shuster & Siegel).
Hello from Classic Park, where the Lake County Captains lead the visiting South Bend Cubs 1-0 early thanks to a leadoff homer by Jonah Advincula.
It's good to know that if there were an emergency at this travel plaza, citizens could call Batman for assistance. 🦇
Yoder Isn't that what people from Boston call the little green guy in the Star Wars movies?
The Springfield Lucky Horseshoes (playing as the Roadsters tonight for a Route 66 theme) are beating Danville 7-0 after 4 innings of Prospect League action here at Robin Roberts Stadium. ⚾
And a peek of rainbow. Not full though because obviously it doesn't want it enough. Time for Game 2.
And now a cool sunset as Metallica's "Master of Puppets" blares over the loud speakers. (For the record, I approve of both of these things.)
The Burlington Bees walk it off in the 8th, winning 2-1 in the rainout makeup/first game of tonight's doubleheader. Game 2 in 20 minutes. #ProspectLeague
If you're in the area, c'mon down to the ballpark. There are plenty of good seats still available!
Hello 👋🏼 from The Corn Crib, where I'm taking in a doubleheader ⚾⚾ between the Normal CornBelters 🌽 and the visiting Burlington Bees 🐝.
