Samurai Jack (seasons 1 - 4) Decided to review these seasons separate to the final one because I know it’s a different beast. But what a show man. I don’t think a single episode is bad. What an absolute triumph of storytelling without dialogue. I forgot just how many episodes were incredible.

Animal Park Summer 2026 What a wonderful celebration of 25 years of animal park. Lots of lovely reminiscing, and some great segments about the animals. Animal Park is a comfort show for me I just love to watch it.

Project Hail Mary Incredible film. I just loved every second of it. I love how comfortable Dr Grace is as a teacher in those scenes so the ending made me super happy.

Last and First Principles (reverse 1999) It’s great to have a story focused around Enigma, he’s earned it after all this time. I also liked that this story kinda acts as an epilogue to 1.7 and 1.9, giving closure to some parts around Greta’s death

Death is the only ending for the villainess (Spoilers) I’m still not sure how I feel about the final season of this comic. Getting home was Penelope’s goal for so long but it feels like she changed her mind on that really quickly. I do like her and Kallisto’s romance. Maybe I should read it again.

Rhythm Paradise Groove / Rhythm Heaven Groove Another great entry in the franchise let down in some areas. I have a lot of thoughts about it so full review in the images. Spoilers ahead!

I’ve finished all the solo mode games now so I feel I can write a review now. Overall I am happy with this game but there are just a few little things that disappoint me about it.
The Games
Overall I think the games are very fun. There are some fun and funny concepts with mostly good signals and audio tells. Some I was really impressed with how they far their concept, like The A for example. Some games in here are absolutely stellar and I think deserve to go up with the greats in rhythm paradise history, Sneezy Moon 2, lighting bolting, space sentry, and wiper bosses are all some favourites of mine.
Side modes
Beatspell is so fun, I haven’t cleared it all yet but I am so excited to play more of it. The different spells are all so satisfying to pull off. I haven’t done much of drum lessons but those look like they’ll be fun as well. The rhythm toys selection is great as well.
The music
My feelings on the music kinda straddle the line between my likes and dislikes of this game. Some tracks are fantastic, especially the people they got in to do music. I will be listening to that Ado track a lot. But I feel like all these tracks work to the game’s detriment, it almost feels like they spent extra budget on these songs that could have been used elsewhere. Which does lead into some of my biggest problems with this game.

The presentation
The artstyle of this game feels nowhere near as cohesive as other games in the series. Some games stick out like a sore thumb against others. Quick hands’ artstyle looks borderline unfinished, especially compared with games like slice n’ dice kitchen and high five fever. It just feels like an odd stylistic choice. Some games also have worse distractions in the background, which is odd when it happens in sequel games. Fruit Flex 2 and Ribbet Rocket 2 are far less visually interesting than their original games and make them feel far less entertaining.
The remixes
By far the biggest victim of this game’s poor presentation is the remixes. A lot of remixes do not get unique skins, as was the case in previous games, which already makes them feel empty and less entertaining. Then some remixes are far too short. When I finished remix 16 I said out loud “wait that’s it?”.
The gameplay
My final point against the game is the gameplay on offer. While overall fine it does feel like they don’t actually go quite as in depth with mechanics as they could. There’ll be a couple of interesting sequences, like mixing the flowers in feeding the beast 2 and the single beat wing flap in synchro wings 2, but they aren’t used enough to really expand on those concepts. It all feels a bit simple.

Summary
It is nice to have rhythm paradise back to be sure, and I hope we get another game in a few years time, but the presentation just isn’t there in this one and it brings the whole game down.

Animal Farm (book) First off, incredible story. Second, I can’t tell if I understood this stories themes and what it was trying to say because of my personal convictions and who I am as a person, or because it is that obvious in its messaging.

The Turquoise Serpent Club (reverse 1999) Another great event. I loved the story of the villains, interesting how it links to people who have been reversed by the storm “returning”. Latham is always a treat to see again. Also loved Lorentz Butterfly. She’s great.

Avengers endgame I could feel how much they padded this to get to the three hour runtime. Plus the serious moments being undercut with jokes and the continued character assassination of Thor made this far less enjoyable than when I first saw it.

Rhythm paradise groove demo No complaints gameplay wise but the presentation is a bit concerning. The art style doesn’t feel great in these games and the remix didn’t even get a unique theme which was kinda sad

Cassmire the Loyal Sword Season 3 Thoughts in second image, I’ve really been enjoying this story

If seasons 1 & 2 were about building relationships up, this season was about pushing them to the limit. We get to understand more about the boys and Cassmire as characters. How their personalities mesh and clash with cass is a treat. And the family supporting cast continues to be excellent. Sigmund is an interesting addition, epically this late in the story, he almost acts like a brother to cass but him being a villain makes the relationship very strained and I love it.
