This is my painting and wargaming hobby profile. Mostly painting, barely wargaming.
Next on the list for wild encounters in #frostgrave were some wolves. I'd grabbed a frame of the #oathmark wolves from #northstarfigures range. I liked how big and burly they looked. I'm pretty happy with them but I know i could work on the Kimberwolf type colours and make the blending better!
Next up on my #frostgrave random creatures encounters are vapour snakes and blood waves. I wanted to try and capture the feel of the mana eels from warcraft. I tried the Strong Base colours then dry brushed ivory over that to try and capture that whispy feel.
My next lot of #frostgrave minis that I did were some cats and dogs. The wild dogs were lovely to paint up and I went with an Irish wolf hound look and dry brushed up lighter shades. The Phase cats are for the Maze of Malcor scenarios and I tried to do the same as the official paint job.
More from my #frostgrave creatures. The bases look great against the red and oranges of the imps. One of the creatures entries is multiple imps, and these guys come from a couple of places. GW Wood elves, OG Huron Blackheart and mantic abyssal. They look great in the red definitely.
Next on my #frostgrave backlog i painted up some minor constructs that reminded me of #Zoids from back in the 90s. Also finished up the 2 official mushroom men, loved these guys. Got different versions from a few companies to try in thr future! Happy with how they bases came out too.
After painting burrows and badgers for a while, I fancied a change of pace and using #ontabletop's spring clean challenge to give my pike of opportunity some time in the sun. I latched onto my frostgrave stuff. All the bits I'd bought over the last few years and got cracking. Basilisk first!
My grubs "hounds" for my witch hunters warband in #oathswornminiatures' #burrowsandbadgers. The grubs look great complete and all matching. They are great miniatures, full of character , totally individual. Hopefully be helpfull in game. Fingers crossed.
My last of the witch hunters #burrowsandbadgers from #oathswornminiatures . The fox was great, my first fox. Really enjoyed trying to capture the contrasts of the x̌ðfoxes fur. Pretty happy with.
Myweasel zealot for #burrowsandbadgers from ##oathswornminiatures . This guy was great fun to paint, I loved the robe, great bit of shading opportunity there. And may have over done it with the dried blood on the flail. Made him really grim and dark. Love it.
Another witch hunter for my #burrowsandbadgers warband from #oathswornminiatures. I loved the use of the grubs as the "warhounds" with these guys. This guy is the shrew, grub wrangler and was a joy to paint. Looking up grubs was interesting. Took a while to get the colour scheme i was happy with.
The second of my witch hunters from #oathswornminiatures' #burrowsandbadgers. I wanted a darker fur mouse this time as I've done lighter mice so far, also gives him a heavier more menacing feel. He was great fun to paint up. I really enjoyed painting up the leather coats it has to be said!
This is the first of my witch hunters from #oathswornminiatures' #burrowsandbadgers. This is the first hedgehog I've painted in the b&b range, and I really enjoyed it. Another guy full of character and im really happy how he looks. I'm still not sure of painting fire. Another thing to work on!
This is my attempt at Weekah Tegalega, raccoon hunter from #oathswornminiatures' #burrowsandbadgers. I absolutely love this miniature, she was a must get. Trying my hand at painting the raccoon part wasn't easy, but am really happy how she turned out. Lots of greys and black.
My third #redwall take on some #oathsworn #burrowsandbadgers miniatures. This awesome mouse miniature evokes that father abbot or methuselah thoe character. Was another fun one to paint up. I love how he turned out.
My second of my #redwall themed #Burrowsandbadgers by ##oathswornminiatures. This nun mouse character was calling out to be painted as cornflower. Such a nice paint ahe was too. Really a lovely miniature and came out pretty well. Chuffed with her!
My first of my #redwall inspired #burrowsandbadgers paint job miniatures. I really enjoyed painting this guy. His happy energy ran through my painting of him I feel. I've realised i love painting the moles from #Oathsworn my bias is showing lol!
Picture the beginning of a fist full of dollars and clint eastwood sees a mexican woman. They are #perryminiatures from the Carlist war range, I've fancied using as civilians for #deadmanshand for use in mexican villages. They were lovely to paint up and I really wanted to add a fair bit of colour!
These #beyondthegatesofAntares miniatures I liked the idea of using them for support staff, or even for the matriarch to be some sort of criminal sponsor like Jabba the Hutt. I have always liked the look of the Beyond Antares miniatures, the Algoryn and Boromites have always appealed the most.
The latest miniature completed for #greatescapegames' ##deadmanshand is the delorean from back to the future as it was in back to the future 3 with part exposed under tarp. The Blacksmiths carriage, you could say. I so enjoyed painting this as it was a slightly different piece for dead mans hand.
The mounted US Cavalry kickstarter from #greatescapegames for ##deadmanshand just came this afternoon. Man excited is an understatement. Cannot wait to put these together and get them on the painting table. Aiming to have them as Buffalo Soldiers .also have some perry ACW I'll do at the same.
Characters painted up from the US Cavalry kickstarter by #greatescapegames for #deadmanshand. I'm really pleased with these guys, my particular favourite is Sgt Wyatt Glover. He'll go great with my Buffalo Soldiers. All full of character.
The plastic US Cavalry on foot from ##greatescapegames for ##deadmanshand. I absolutely enjoyed putting these together and painting them up. Think they came out really well. I wanted to highlight the undershirts and braces. Love the addition of the beagles, I used my neighbours dog for inspiration.
Couple of bits I painted alongside my US Cavalry Kickstarter when it came. Delores I ordered to come with it too and the horses are for raids and things. Think they all came out well. Was happy with Olivia dru's dress. Was annoyed by 1 of the paints on the painted course bleeding a bit.
A basic perry ACW frame that I've painted up as union. I can use them for ACW if I get i to it properly, or as reconstruction union or as plains infantry in a pinch. They are a nice easy bunch to make and paint. Pretty happy with them.
My covered wagon for #deadmanshand. I'm really pleased how this came out, so many of the painting effects come through and show the great quality of the miniature. Great escape did an epic job on a really evocative and stylish miniature kit. This is one of my favourite things in Ve painted yet!
My painted Zees team for #dreadball i finished recently. Really like them and thr scheme not far from what I painted thr MVP about a decade ago lol. Scheme is based on a 1999 planet of the apes soldiers armour. Really happy with them, shame they're so small its hard to see all those little details!
A plastic depth horror from #mantic I've had for years. Lots of layers of wash over this guy. Doesn't look too bad. I use him for things like #draculasamerica, #Ghostarchipelago and anything with a bit of #Cthulhu.
Mounted characters for #deadmanshand. Really enjoyed painting these. Really love painting the great escape plastic horses. These are lee van kickstarter, john bridges and Ely Fergus. Enjoyed painting them all
