This year I did not accomplish much finished art! and that is OK. It was a learning year -- gathering new skills, refining skills that needed help and work. I worked on drawabox, expanding my 3d skills and also WAS IN COLLEGE in the background, as well as banging out a couple of ch's of fic.

My nurse was amazing in the ER but my hand is (mad) even days later. 🙃

I miss my cat(s). I miss Kavi and I miss Leo. There was something kind of special about curling around a cat-shrimp when it was raining and kissing their soft little bodies. It's been a while since Leo. Kavi's fresh. It's not New Cat time yet, I can't make the justification. But I miss them.

Thank you so kindly! Your thread made me think of them, specifically. It can be really easy for those of us that do figurative art to really lock in on our goals and forget the pleasure of just like... coloring! Or sketching, depending on your work! Re-reaching sensations you like is great praxis

When I feel far away from art I do these kind of pieces: I think of them as 'movements my hands love to do'. There is not a goal, there is not an audience -- just color and shape and the pleasure of doing 'a thing' until I feel 'done'. It's a form of meditation (flow).

material on the 'panes' is set like this: The only adjustments I made individually was to change the color, but I haven't tweaked anything else and I have a sense I will probably need to.

settings for the sun behind my 'windows'. Ideally I would like for the color of the material to effect the cast-light and I'm not quite sure what to look up to do that. Also the angle/volume of the light isn't quite there yet. The spot is to give a little light to the interior of the 'room'
