You can't jump start just one car if there's another car in the lot that has its hood up. It's a rule. Should be a law
It's all intonated and back where it belongs, at work where it begs me to ah, *not work* with it
I dunno who needs to hear this but these little 5w practice amps are 50% off Soniccake's eBay store. I've already got one but it's so handy I picked up another. They sound great and are as loud as I care to play inside my house
It's all good! I like hearing about all kinds of guitar related content. TPS shows up on my YT feed here and there but the 2hr episodes are longer than I'd like so I haven't watched any of those Here's my main guitar pedal board. I just reconfigured it
You planted the seed for me to join DSA but seeing Speaker Johnson actively address how afraid the Republican party sealed the deal. I am not a member of my local DSA
Right on. This is the current flavor of bullshit today. Pretty fun actually
I've got to touch up one of those stripes but I'm making progress!
I found the perfect strap for it at Guitar Center today. This thing makes me smile. I love it
You may notice the skull stickers and allen wrench on the back of my headstock. The locking nut requires a wrench to work so I drilled holes in the back of the headstock and glued in magnets, then I covered the magnets with Beetlejuice skull stickers. Now my wrench is always there when I need it 🤘
I had a friend come over and jam with me and now I'm afraid this thing is too loud. It was hard to find just the right volume between 1.6 and 1.8 to play very loud at. I may need something smaller than this to play a normal bar sized venue. Huh I had a ton of fun rocking out with my buddy though!
I'm about to make some fun mods to this old Ibanez! First I'll have to open up the bridge route for this non-fine tuning Floyd Rose bridge. Then I'll repair old damage and paint racing stripes. I'm going to do more than is pictured here but this'll give you an idea of what I'm up to. I'm excited
I got a new amplifier because I intend to play with other musicians in a live environment (might even start a band) and the practice amp I play through at home is not nearly loud enough for that business Hooray for personal development! Now I need to find some local musicians to play with me
Congratulations on 63k followers Kim! You can rest easy now, knowing you have a nice round number of followers
I finally fixed the ground hum issue (that I created by adding a temporary cut-off button) I had with my Hoffner shorty travel guitar this weekend by adding a capacitor to the circuit. I'm so happy! ...and yes, that's an on/off cut-off switch I replaced the tone knob with. Rock'n'roll! 😎🤘🎸🎶
I brought my new guitar into work today and got to noodle over loops I put into my pocket synthesizer all through an hour and a half long product webinar. What a lovely day. So relaxing
Well everyone, the wait is over. I've finally finished building my dream guitar! The neck and body were special made by Warmoth in WA, the pickups (The Breed neck, Super Distortion bridge) special made by DiMarzio in NY, USA made OG Floyd Rose. They painted the body but the neck came unfinished.
Sometimes you need to set reminders to take care of your future self
Oh that's a gold mine of awesomely weird guitars! If someone were to introduce themself as the God of Rock and had anything less than this brilliant axe in their hand, I would say "No sir, you are a mere mortal and there is nothing wrong with that."
My custom DiMarzio pickups came in! Now I can finish the body of my Iceman build. That's a Super Distortion in the bridge and a The Breed in the neck position. I've been taking my time finishing the neck so I probably have another 2-3 weeks left on it and then I can finish the guitar completely 😁
2nd day in a row these two dogs pine for each other's company. My heart breaks for them both but I'm not going to be *that* guy and ask the owners if the dogs can play. Duncan and I need to get back to with
This is my nephew's guitar. I replaced all the chrome hardware for black, replaced the pick guard, shielded the entire inside, replaced the stock tiny pots with good CTS pots (the volume pot is a push/pull that disconnects the momentary cut off button) and replaced the wires from the jack
I don't normally wear a wedding ring but when I do, I have to find one that fits
