There were also first images from 'Fleur,' the upcoming film by Rémi Chayé, and a special visit to the new Cité de l’animation, such an inspiring new space for exhibitions, residencies, & education. Huge congratulations to the Annecy Festival teams! The work you do is truly remarkable!

I was lucky to meet and reconnect with incredible filmmakers, including Phuong Mai Nguyen for 'In Waves,' a former Villa Albertine resident, as well as #CinéSchool friends Julien Chheng ('Ernest & Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia') and Jérémy Degruson ('The Inseparables').

1st time at #AnnecyFestival… and honestly, I’m still not over it. The atmosphere is so warm, joyful, and welcoming.💙 A few moments from an unforgettable week: CNC & AnimFrance conferences, Unifrance lunches & panels, inspiring meetings, & the chance to see so many exceptional French animated films.

After Netflix acquired 'In Waves' by Phuong Mai Nguyen earlier this week at Cannes, more French animation is making its way to U.S. audiences with Sony Pictures Classics picking up 'Iron Boy' (Le Corset) by Louis clichy. A great moment for #FrenchAnimation!

The collection includes 15 films, among them 'Samba le Grand' by Moustapha Alassane and 'Le Trésor des poubelles' by Samba Félix Ndiaye, two restoration projects supported by Villa Albertine in partnership with the Institut français and NYU Tisch School of the Arts.
