COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The Ohio Senate is considering a bill named for Charlie Kirk that would teach the “positive influence of religion” in public school history classes.

House Bill 486, the Charlie Kirk American Heritage Act, was approved by the Ohio House in November and is now under consideration in the state Senate. The bill encourages public school teachers to remember they can incorporate the positive impacts of religion, particularly Christianity, lawfully.
