NSF NCAR's Maria Frediani is leading "Innovating Property Insurance Decision Tools through Fire & Risk Modeling", a project that combines NASA Earth observations, physics-based wildfire modeling, and AI to create next-generation wildfire risk assessment tools for the property insurance industry while helping build more resilient communities.
The project was selected as part of NASA's new INNOVATE program, which supports innovative partnerships that transform Earth observations into practical solutions with lasting societal and economic benefits.
