Hey does anyone know why Vancouver forces restaurants to put their patios in the street, divided by the sidewalk, rather than just doing this?
Even downtown Calgary, a city that reminds me of a cross between Hamilton Ontario and Denver Colorado, circa 2004, and where the buildings are all named after petroleum, has a permanent pedestrian street.
I was left wondering, what do barbarians have to do with 4-6 floor apartment buildings? And I think the answer, as always, is Ronald Reagan.
