Day 17 of #TourDeFleece: bit more spinning on the Shetland, though only about 15 min because no energy. #spinning
Day 16 of #TourDeFleece: i plied and skeined the smallish cheviot sample (the mauve and purple skein). I also started on the second half of the Shetland/sparkle. #spinning
Plant crimes have been committed against my mint. I suspect my downstairs neighbours, chasing a high. I know one climbs up to my balcony and sleeps on my chairs. #cats
Day 15 of #TourDeFleece: i wound the completed targhee and spun up a sample of cheviot. That'll likely be cobweb or lace weight. #spinning
Day 14 of #TourDeFleece: I plied the blue targhee. I'll skein it tomorrow. But yay! Finished spinning. #spinning
Day 13 of #TourDeFleece and the blue targhee is done! I plan to ply it tomorrow. #spinning
Day 12 of #TourDeFleece, bit more targhee. Love the lavender tinge (towards the back of the bobbin) of the section I spun today. #spinning
I did an art. First time watercolor painting since, uh, maybe elementary school? The class was a fun starter.
#TourDeFleece Day 10, bit more of the blue targhee. Only spent about 10 min spinning for Reasons (mostly fatigue).
Day 9 (and 8) of #TourDeFleece, the start of the 2nd half of the targhee from Essential Fibers. I spun a bit last night, then added to it this morning #spinning
Day 7 of #TourDeFleece - finished spinning the first half of the Shetland/sparkle blend. I started predrafting the rest of the targhee. #spinning
Day 6 of #TourDeFleece. I pulled out a lovely 90/10 Shetland/sparkle blend from a localish mill. Sparkles are in green, red, and yellow so I've been calling it the Robin blend. No predrafting necessary and it spins like a dream. Got about half a bobbin spun. #spinning
Day 5 of #TourDeFleece and I'm done with the targhee! (The first half, at least). I ended up spinning longer than I have been - close to the end of my fiber and of this stage of the Tour. #spinning
Day 4 of #TourDeFleece . More targhee; you can see the gradient getting darker. Certainly less boring than when I've spun a pound or two of white. #spinning
Day 3 of #TourDeFleece, more of the targhee. I have a decent chunk left and am sick of it. It does NOT want to be spun at all evenly. #spinning
Day two of #TourDeFleece, more targhee wool (as it will be for many days to come, given I'monly spinning a half hour or so a day). #spinning
First day of #TourDeFleece completed. Targhee from Essential Fiber in Santorini Fade to Light. I also predrafted the rest of this half. It is fine to spin but horrible to predraft. #spinning
Starting to join the chain maille hexagons. 5 rings per join are so finicky (and small) that they're taking me about 15 minutes each. #jewelry #ChainMaille
Spent balcony time enjoying That Full Moon Feeling by Ashley Robin Franklin. Short sapphic graphic novel captures Suzy (witch) and Jada (werewolf) first three dates. They go monstrously, pun intended. First it's a lake monster, then skeletons, then a giant praying mantis. Do recommend. #books 📚🌈
All done. Waiting for it to cool a bit but what I tasted when adjusting the seasonings waa good. A half batch of www.ranchogordo.com/blogs/recipe... got me 5 me-sized servings. #food
Gorgeous day to be out, after the morning thunderstorm moved through. I mostly hit Yanney Park to Ingress, but did walk/run.
Finished my latest embroidery project, a kit from Budgie Goods. Almost everything was supposed to be stem stitch but I swapped in split stitch for some of it (leaves, mushroom gills). Obviously still needa to be pressed. #embroidery
Finally got around to trying new #nailpolish. The base is Atomic Polish in carbon - awesome matte black that I will def be using solo. Topper is beryllium.
I first tried this....exuberant....yarn in a shawl pattern, which was a nope. I'm really liking how it's turning out in these socks (basic 60 stitch socks, with a bit of herringbone rib). #knitting 🧶
