It took me 5 months to catch stray boy Eddie, who was very badly behaved and labelled a ‘terrible cat’ by the village. After TNR he decided his forever home was…with me. He’s not such a terrible cat these days.
The Cornish version has a galvanised metal cover for a more private experience. Brick and ceramic pipe optional.
@davidcollard.bsky.social From a friend visiting Zurich yesterday. I thought it might be your cup of tea.
Stray boy Edward Fleas, who has progressed from being an absolute terror to now merely bad.
Early photography is fascinating isn't it? I found this ambrotype of a woman in the loft of my parents' house. No idea who she is. Very striking though.
Fond memories of chillier times. Shopping carts emerging from the glacier in East Lansing, MI, 2018.
@bsbibotany.bsky.social Plumes of meadowsweet for #wildflowerhour. A favourite of Elizabeth I, apparently. Strongly scented; sweet and phenolic.
Izzy, who spent the first 6 months of her life living in a field. She prefers the greenhouse these days.
Right then, weekend read courtesy of @ofmooseandmen.bsky.social. Looking forward to this, who doesn’t love a lighthouse novel? (And I suspect there’s FAR MORE to it than that).
This is fierce feral girl Tippy, who would sit outside my neighbour’s kitchen window and growl when she wanted food. She’d go for his hands when he fed her, too. (She’s not quite as fierce these days).
Equally grim in Cornwall today, but stray boy Mister sends greetings to Tootsie.
Rescued from the toss cart by a kindly librarian. Old books need loving homes too.
Delighted to be part of such an exclusive club. It’s a terrific read; elegant, unsettling, precise.
