Like a millpond up at #rutlandwater this morning - perfect conditions for an hour's paddle on my morning off. Just a couple of us kayaking, plus lots of ducks and geese! Lovely and peaceful on the water 😊

Been and done a thing! Revesby Running Festival, not far from Boston. Love Trident Events - no cut-offs and super-inclusive so we can both take part. 5k trail for D and 10k trails for me. Cut-off times often mean D can't enter as an MS athlete so we both enjoyed today! #loverunning
Another gorgeous evening run up at #rutlandwater - although sadly no run buddy today (so no post-run pub stop 😢). Cooler than last week's 31 degrees, so was able to keep going without walk breaks - but still warm, so just ambled along for 5k. Not a bad view! #loverunning

On our travels again this morning, popping in a cheeky #parkrun on our way to the Peak District to support our friend who was running a bonkers fell race. A lovely warm welcome from the Brierley Forest parkrun team. Highly recommend visiting their lovely woodland course! #loveparkrun #ontour
First Thursday night #rutlandwater run with my run buddy for a few weeks as we've both been busy. Took it very easy with walk/run intervals as it was still over 30 degrees, but what a lovely view across from the dam! Sweltering but enjoyable! #loverunning
Today's #wednesdaymorningwander at Southey Woods was mostly all about the butterflies. *SO* many butterflies! Lovely to see them thriving there - peacocks, tortoiseshell, red admirals, skippers, fritilleries, whites, brimstones - a positive rainbow of butterflies! 🌈🦋
Well I'm a very happy bunny! Finished the Norfolk Cycle Events Tas Valley Tour 50-miler. 4 hours, so fairly leisurely pace, but after the complete fiasco of my last sportive which I failed to finish, I'm super-chuffed! As always, a lovely ride from NCE - fab little event company! ❤️ #lovecycling
Had such fun doing the Mystery Guide story in Leicester with a friend last year, that I bought the Norwich one for our trip this weekend. Such a great way to explore a new place - fun facts and quiz questions that the whole family can get involved in. Plus you always finish in a pub - bonus!! 😉
Bit of #parkrun tourism at the small but perfectly formed Lingwood parkrun - held at the village hall and supported by the hall trustees. A little charmer of a course - flat and wiggly, taking in a former go-kart track! Village hall cafe spot-on too. Go visit - recommended! #loveparkrun #ontour

Between having a poorly bike and then obstructive building work, I haven't been able to e-bike to pilates class for a few weeks. So it was lovely to actually be able to get the bike out and ride to class this evening. It really does make the whole thing just more enjoyable! #ebikesrock 🚲❤️
Should have made use of Mr James Smith's product line this morning. London at its drizzly best for my walk to the office! Genuinely interested in whether I could still buy a swordstick, as advertised in the windows....!!
Good conditions meant we could get out of the studio and down onto the Rainbow Trail for our Monday sports conditioning class at Inspire2Tri. It doesn't make it any easier, you understand, but the scenery is nicer while you're suffering! 😭😭😭
Managed to unearth the e-bike and manhandle it past the detritus of our building works for a sunny trip to town. Lovely to enjoy a few e-bike-y miles, with panniers full of random shopping! #lovecycling #ebikesrock 😎
First run in over a week as the temperature finally dropped! Took myself for a little trot at #rutlandwater after volunteering at our regular junior #parkrun event. The 'Rutland Breeze' very much in evidence 😳 but it was so good to get out for an easy, enjoyable 5k! #loverunning #cloudbusting

So much this! I love my e-cargo bike. Had to drive to our local GP recently while my bike was being serviced - what a stressful faff!! Cannot believe anyone thinks it's quicker and easier to sit in traffic then trawl around a car park. Bike every time - quick, simple, efficient 👍
Building works progressing. I no longer have a paddling pool. Instead, I now have a roller skating rink....

This is currently our garage (although you'd be forgiven for thinking we're building a swimming pool!). Hopefully once it's finished, we're going to put a greenhouse against the back wall, which is south-facing and should be fab for growing 🤞
Swapped my #wednesdaymorningwander for a paddle at the puddle this morning 🛶. A leisurely hour's kayaking at #rutlandwater definitely a nice way to get out but not get overheated. Plus lots of enjoyable splashing! 😁 Now back to work... 🥵🥵
Friday: the most amazing pie dinner at Hobssons in Lincoln. Saturday: delicious wedding breakfast and a wonderful day at friends' wedding. Sunday: incredible Turkish meal for Father's Day at the Fat Turk in Stamford. Tomorrow I will be mostly living on water....! #wellfed #happyweekend
