I've been reviewing the SSD I have and apparently it's not very compatible with Linux systems? Sounds like it's my fault if anything.

Do not buy for Linux systems. Over the last 10 months since I installed it I have encountered countless problems, only to find out recently that it was this SSD all along. Here is the explanation via Grok:

QLC NAND + DRAM-less design — QLC stores 4 bits per cell (cheaper, higher capacity, but slower writes and less durable than TLC in premium drives). Without onboard DRAM cache, it relies on Host Memory Buffer (system RAM), which can cause stutters or delays during heavy I/O—worse on Linux where NVMe drivers/power management interact differently than Windows.
Aggressive power-saving states (APST/ASPM) — The drive enters low-power modes too eagerly, and resuming sometimes fails or hangs the system. Linux kernel often logs suggestions like "nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0" because this disables deep sleep latency limits. Many users (on Raspberry Pi, laptops, desktops) report freezes fixed exactly by this parameter.
Firmware/power quirks — Early batches had issues with detection or stability on certain hardware; some needed firmware updates (Lenovo-specific in ThinkPads). Your drive's power states and low wear (1%) are fine, but the combo triggers lockups under Linux load.

Good morning! I had a nice day of touching grass yesterday. I learned a lot more about Los Angeles by visiting the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County! Sure, the celebrities are cool, but learning how Los Angeles was made & what existed here in the past was eye-opening.
