So very, very tired today, but what a night. Gojira and Knocked Loose as support were insane in their own right ❤️
Thank you for the art share <3 I love the graphic shapes in your brush work! I'm Sophie, an artist predominantly working in videogames but looking to find work in ttrpg, tcg, and book covers. I'm really interested in fantasy art :)

Absolutely! They're extremely versatile - you can simply draw, or draw and then do a wash, or take colour directly from the tip of the pencil. You can create really nice effects when layering paint up too. My daughter and I have a lot of fun using them to draw on cardboard too :)
little thing I started playing with, trying to get back into a regular traditional practice. Using my murkling digital painting as ref, I experimented with watercolour pencils and then gouache - it dries so quickly! Definitely going to force me to get quicker at colour mixing again :)
Sorry, but can we just take a moment to appreciate the majesty of this little tucked in creature

I'd recognise any of the plates from this book immediately! I have my great grandad's copy, given to him by his dad. I always called it 'The Animal Book' & greatly looked forward to looking at it when I visited ❤️
Artist! Quote with your #fanart ! This is extremely ancient, but here's Waleran Bigod of Ken Follet's 'Pillar of the Earth', aka. the piece in which I agonised over researching what an appropriate bishops mitre for the 12th century would be.
Hey artists!! Post some art you made from before Bluesky!!
Goblins! painted for Venture Forth Games. I remember when I was a kid first seeing of a copy of Brian Froud's Goblins book and it feeling like a new part of my creative brain sprouted into existence.
