And the scaffolding is down on Derwas Court (10146 – 121 Street). lostyeg.wordpress.com/2013/11/20/d... #yeg
...is it weird that cbc editorial isn't quite sure about bikelanes, but is confident in speaking for the separatist assholes? Seems weird.
...the inclusion of this chart probably isn't done to maliciously lmake 2026 look bad...but is a non-seasonally adjusted chart like this actually responsible journalism? Is it really?
If you're in wihkwentowin, near Odd Company or the Oliverbahn, the renovation of Derwas Court is almost complete. And unfortunately, it is a stuccoriffic turd.
My first flat in forever. No problem locating the cause, which was wrapped up with a bow.
For the 102ave folks, this popped into my memories showing Darth Vader's house when it was mid-renovation in 2019.
Saw this on reddit, and thinking about how many of our councillors have unironically whined about the war on cars.
This constant bullshit is fucking gross. And this isn't a new thing, and it isn't only shitty postmedia hacks.
To my utter amazement, construction on the Victoria Park Hill bikelane has already begun. #yegbike This appears to be the permanent version (rather than the summer streets version) with markers for the curb pour, and a busstop.
If you look for examples of protected roundabout designs you'll see some ideas of best practices.
With those radii, and where the crosswalks are located, it's not any different from this probably 70 year old design. Which is an absolute nightmare to cross on foot.
I continue to not understand how it can be the May long weekend, and the city's last update on Summer Streets was October 22nd. #yegbike www.edmonton.ca/transportati...
Caribou's buddy Norman (who is a pal, but not her bestie) is visiting for the day. #dogsky
On the subject of removing bikelanes, that doesn't happen without an engineer signing off. And engineers are explicitly not supposed to just do whatever they're told, while ignoring public health, safety and welfare. #yegbike www.apega.ca/docs/default...
Does anyone know why cbc keeps commissioning these bullshit racist polls, and then bragging about it? cbc calgary always sucks, but do they really need to suck this much? www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
The big thing is that 76ave used to be garbage. In the winter it was useless. But even in the summer people used to drive straddling the line for no fucking reason. They would drive like this for blocks and blocks. They ALL did it. It was bizarre.
Not only does this not mention climate change (which is relevant to everything, whether we like it or not). But instead it doubles down on folksy bullshit, like we're all medieval peasants.
Sad reminder that Elections Alberta and the RCMP are both full of separatist chuds.
Possibly the best snow conditions of the winter? Even though it's (checks watch) April 25th? #yegbike
I wish we hadn't elected an LLM as mayor. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...
