Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Repo! The Genetic Opera (2008) Darren Lynn Bousman directs a cult classic multiphyphenate about a future society built on black market organ trading. Featuring a star-studded cast including the late Anthony Stewart Head. RIP #horror #horrorsky
"Fill them pews people! That's the key! Grab the little ones as well. Hook 'em while they're young!"
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl (2009) Naoyuki Tomamatsu and the late Yoshihiro Nishimura co-direct a gory, deranged high school love triangle between a vampire, a mad scientist's daughter, and a boy. Unlike any other film. #horror #horrorsky
The reason the amazing, hilarious scene with Lionel in the park with the baby zombie in the pram in Dead Alive/Braindead exists is because they had an extra $45k in New Zealand dollars when they finished the movie and used it to head to the park for two days and film it.
@discontinuedfoods.bsky.social You may want to look into whether Reed's Ginger Ale has discontinued their standard zero calorie brand. Looked like this. Their website 404 errors when you look for it now. The regular is still made, though. The version with extra ginger is too.
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Citadel (2012) Underrated Irish horror tale in which an agoraphobic man is forced to protect his newborn alongside a priest and a blind boy against a horse of feral mutants that attacked and killed his pregnant wife. #horrorsky #horror
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Lake of the Dead (1958) or De Dødes Tjern Eerie Norwegian horror mystery where friends visit a cabin by a lake and discover a legend about spirits that draw victims to their deaths under the lake's surface. #filmsky #horror #horrorsky
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead (2006) A fast-food restaurant is attacked by chicken-zombie human hybrids. It's a Lloyd Kaufman Troma movie. You know already if it's for you. As offensive and insane as you'd think. #horror #horrorsky
Random posters I've seen while walking around #4. Turkish poster for Larry Cohen's Q: The Winged Serpent (1982) under the title Ölümün Kanatlari. #filmsky #horrorsky #horror
@maffewgregg.bsky.social Just FYI, WWE Vault posted a 30 minute retrospective of people talking about their favorite matches they've had at Wrestlemania. Midway through, this is the title card they used to talk about the X-7 ladder match.... #thatsnothisname youtu.be/eoisAQCItfo?...
Random posters I've seen while walking around #3. A poster for Ouija (2014) and an English-language alternate poster design for Witchboard (1986) flank the Italian language poster for Witchboard (1986) at the Salem Witch Board Museum (highly recommended) #posters #horror #horrorsky #filmsky
Random posters I've seen while walking around Alamo Drafthouse and other interesting locations #2. A Turkish language poster for Enzo G. Castellari's post-apocalyptic action movie 1990: The Bronx Warriors (1982) #posters #horror #horrorsky #filmsky
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Night of the Creeps (1986) Fred Dekker writes/directs an 80s classic pitting parasite-controlled zombies against college nerds, sorority girls, and frat boys. Featuring Tom Atkins as possibly the most quotable character ever. #horror #horrorsky
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Prevenge (2016) Alice Lowe writes, directs, and stars in an excellent black comedy horror about a pregnant widow driven by a psychic bond with her unborn baby seeking vengeance on those responsible for her husband's death. #horror #horrorsky
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Frailty (2001) The late Bill Paxton directs himself, Matthew McConaughey, and Powers Boothe in an underrated thriller about a devout man teaching his kids to kill people because the voices in his head tell him they're demons. #horror #horrorsky
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Waxwork II: Lost in Time (1992) Anthony Hickox returns to direct an also-returning Zach Galligan in a direct, no-wax sequel as they travel through "time" (read: properties) chasing a sorcerer. Fun, if not on original's level. #horror #horrorsky
Half star reviews of my lboxd top4

Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Urban Legend (1998) Jamie Blanks' feature directing debut features a cast of up and comers (and cameos by Robert Englund and Brad Dourif) in a fun, underrated 90s teen slasher with a creative killer/kills. RIP Jamie Blanks #horror #horrorsky
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Witchhammer (1970) A harrowing, excellently acted, underseen witch hunt story out of the future Czech Republic that combines said panic and torture with dramatic storytelling and commentary on religious/political corruption. #horrorsky #horror
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Scream of the Banshee (2011) Before 2012's underrated The Aggression Scale and Silent Night remake, Stephen C. Miller made this decent-in-its-limitations Syfy/After Dark monster movie starring Lance Henriksen and Laurie Holden. #horrorsky #horror
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Session 9 (2001) Brad Anderson directs, cowrites, and edits an excellent, criminally underrated ghost story as a cleaning crew (featuring David Caruso and Larry Fessenden) grapples with the ghosts of a mental hospital's past. #horrorsky #horror
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Doctor Butcher, MD/Zombi Holocaust (1980) Marino Girolami directs a ludicrous, campy, so-bad-it's-amazing entry in the 80s Italian zombie craze as "doctors" and "scientists" investigate the island experiments of a mad doctor. #horrorsky #horror
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Tourist Trap (1979) David Schmoeller's perpetually underrated, somehow-PG take on the House of Wax-style horror movie featuring an iconic Chuck Connors performance, excellent practical effects, an indelible poster, and a bonkers ending.
Also welcome to my "when I feel like it" new feature, random posters I've seen while walking around Alamo Drafthouse and other interesting locations. Today: A French Language poster for Deathsport (1978)
Today's "Movie You Now Know or Remember Exists" is Corman's World: Exploits of a Hollywood Rebel (2011) A star-studded look back at the life and work of the legendary producer, director, writer, actor, and general icon while he was still working in his 80s. Would be even better twice the length.
