Die Gesellschaft für Freiheitsrechte (GFF)
hat ein ausführliches Gutachten erarbeitet, das die Strategien und Zielsetzungen der AfD aufbereitet und die damit
verbundenen Angriffe auf Demokratie, Rechtsstaatlichkeit und Menschenwürde juristisch einordnet. Die Befunde sind ein weiteres Alarmsignal. Was hier detailliert beschrieben wird, untergräbt die Grundwerte, auf die wir uns mit dem Grundgesetz und den Landesverfassungen geeinigt haben, und die Europa prägen.

Dazu gehört auch die Gleichberechtigung und das Verbot jedweder Diskriminierung.
Wer das angreift, trifft zuerst die
Schwächsten, und damit auch uns als ganze Gesellschaft. Insbesondere sind dann auch die gefährdet, die sich für Gleichstellung und gegen Diskriminierung einsetzen. Denn auch sie sind oft das Ziel von gezielter Einschüchterung, Diffamierung und politischen Delegitimationskampagnen durch rechte Akteure, die sich zunehmend radikalisieren.

Es gilt daher, sich in dieser Legislaturperiode solchen menschenverachtenden und antidemokratischen Politiken entgegenzustellen, Gleichstellung in allen Bereichen zu stärken und die Errungenschaften entschlossen zu verteidigen.

Intimidation et tentative de censure contre deux journalistes de France 24

La Société des Journalistes de France 24 apporte son soutien plein et entier à nos journalistes Nina Masson et Yong Chim, victimes d'une tentative de censure et d'intimidation dans l'exercice de leurs fonctions.

Dans le cadre de la promotion du film "La Bataille de Gaulle", nos deux journalistes ont réalisé une interview avec une partie de son équipe. Au cours de l'entretien, l'un des acteurs du film a longuement développé la notion d'« engagement », thématique centrale de l'œuvre.

Nina Masson a prolongé ce fil en interrogeant l'acteur sur ce que cette notion représentait pour lui en tant que comédien en l'invitant notamment à réagir, dans le contexte post-Festival de Cannes, à la tribune signée par 600 professionnels du cinéma dénonçant la mainmise de Vincent Bolloré sur le secteur cinématographique.

La question a visiblement mis l'acteur mal à l'aise. Elle était pourtant non seulement légitime, mais indispensable au regard des polémiques qui ont rythmé cette édition du
festival.

Des méthodes d'intimidation inacceptables

Ce qui s'est produit à l'issue de l'interview est d'une gravité inédite.

L'attachée de presse de l'acteur a bloqué notre équipe dans la pièce, la menaçant et exigeant la restitution immédiate de la carte mémoire contenant l'enregistrement de l'interview. Nos journalistes ont refusé avec professionnalisme.

L'attachée de presse de l'acteur, en présence de l'attachée de presse du film, a alors contraint Nina Masson à signer un engagement écrit de non-diffusion du passage litigieux comme condition à la conservation de leur matériel.

Notre équipe est rentrée à la rédaction profondément choquée par la violence de ces méthodes. De tels procédés - intimidation, censure imposée sous la contrainte - relèvent de …1/2

pratiques que l'on associe aux régimes totalitaires. Ils constituent une atteinte grave et caractérisée à la liberté de la presse.

La SDJ de France 24 rappelle avec force que la ligne éditoriale de France 24 n'appartient qu'à sa direction. Aucune attachée de presse, aucun acteur, aucune équipe de production ne saurait se substituer à elle, ni dicter à nos journalistes les questions qu'ils sont en droit de poser et de diffuser ou non.

La SDJ de France 24 :

• Apporte son soutien sans réserve à Nina Masson et Yong Chim
• Condamne fermement les actes d'intimidation et de censure dont ils ont été victimes
• S'associe à la demande formulée par la direction de France 24 : les deux attachées de presse concernées doivent présenter leurs excuses à nos journalistes.

La liberté de la presse n'est pas négociable.

Wo alles Wetter und Felsen gehört

Norden ist die traurigste Himmelsrichtung.
Das mag unfair sein, wegen Polarlichtern, schwedischer Seen und schottischer Grasland-schaften, aber in der Regel gilt die Regel: je Norden, desto brrrrr.

Wer also im Spätsommer aus der Mittel-meerregion Richtung Deutschland fährt, beginnt schon auf der Rückreise mit dem Haltbarmachen. Leg dir die Wärme ein, heb dir die Düfte auf, kann man Sommersprossen konservieren bis Februar? Die Straße schlängelt sich durch die Alpen, und aller Abschied ist schwer.

Bis plötzlich, auf halber Strecke zwischen Heimweh und Fernsucht, die Erde als wunderschöne Fremde erscheint. Ist das unser Planet, oder ein anderer? Auf dem Julierpass in Graubünden, 2.284 Meter über dem Meeresspiegel, gehört alles den Felsen und dem Wetter. Der Mensch hat sich zwar hindurchasphaltiert, aber ist hier oben doch unausweichlich winzig, bloß ein Durchreisender, egal wie laut sein Größenwahn. Aussteigen, einatmen. Tatsächlich, so scheint es, ist von hier aus jede Richtung schön. Und wer noch zweifelt, tröstet sich hinter der nächsten Kurve gen Norden mit einem Teller Bündner Gerstensuppe.

This article summarizes the bill well & succinctly, explaining the elements of the current legal framework that cement a victim of partner violence into a catch-22 situation with no tenable way out, no matter how life threatening her circumstances. Last year, about 15,000 families in England were forced to find a new social home because of domestic abuse, according to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.

The bill is intended to ensure that landlords and courts can evict perpetrators of domestic abuse from social housing without the victim having to leave their home first.

At present, social housing landlords can evict a perpetrator only after their victim has moved out, and in joint tenancies, the only option for the victim is to end the tenancy entirely, possibly becoming homeless.

If the bill passes its second reading and is given royal assent, social housing landlords will be able to remove abusers from their properties and courts will be able to transfer a joint tenancy to the victim's sole name or require the landlord to provide suitable alternative accommodation where appropriate.

The bill also closes a legal loophole that allows domestic abusers to make their victims homeless, by ending a social housing joint tenancy early during their own eviction proceedings.

On January 26, the Trump regime attached new rules to federal grants that fund domestic violence shelters nationwide—no federal money could be used to help undocumented people. No shelter, crisis services, or legal help.

The regime was turning the Violence Against Women Act into an immigration enforcement tool. Organizations that refused to check immigration status before offering services would lose their funding.

Last Friday, US District Court Judge Melissa DuBose issued a preliminary injunction stopping the regime cold. The funding for 25 domestic violence coalitions in 21 states and DC is now protected. The grants keep paying out.
Survivors won this round—a judge made sure of it.
