This is the product. It's actually seems to be bird-safe(ish) as people recommend it for birdbaths/birdfeeders though more as a brief soak then change the water thing. IDK if leaving it in there permanently is a good solution.

IDK what movie you mean but for a second I thought it was this one and I thought that was a little hard on director Todd Phillips. Otherwise though that's accurate to me and this now-scrapped film.
