Today's "Random Game Saturday" is Moon Patrol for the Atari 2600! I love Moon Patrol, and I think this is about as good of a port as you could expect given the hardware; they got the music!
Today's Random Game Saturday is Blue's Journey for the Neo Geo AES! (Raguy if your AES is in Japan region) A fun little side scroller with an amazing game over screen
My beloved wife got me the entirety of Macross 7 on LaserDisc. I am a happy Nicole :)
Nice! But does yours have the classic "spine spent too much time in a sunlit window" Japanese used game aesthetic
Today's Random Game Saturday is Zen-Nihon Joshi Pro Wrestling: Queen of Queens for the PC-FX! An FMV wrestling game across two-disks with actual footage of Japanese women pro wrestlers from 1995, just a few years before AJW started to collapse
Today's late Random Game Saturday is this copy of Ranma 1/2: Chougi Ranbu Hen! It's an odd one, because it has a full box and manual, but the bootleg cartridge swaps between playing either this game or Super Bomberman; I wrote a small blog post on it way back in 2019 nicole.express/2019/a-stran...
These two screenshots were taken on exactly the same SuperGrafx with the same composite cables, just minutes apart-- one in SuperGrafx mode, one in PC Engine mode. Why does the one in SuperGrafx mode have so much more noise?
Today's Random Game Saturday is at my wife's request, Space Channel 5! A game with such style that I don't even care that I'm terrible at it, and also one whose lenticular cover makes it hard to photograph.
The combination of using maritime borders and county lines means that we get to see Long Cohasset
In the smartphone era Palm went all-in on little keyboards instead; I remember my Centro had a weird rubbery one that worked surprisingly well even for gaming
We don't normally see each other's headers. Here's mine . It's important to be aware of potentially fatal graphics
Todays "Random" "Game" "Saturday" is a favorite of mine: Sega Ages Memorialselection Vol. 2! A great selection of classic Sega arcade games: Samurai, Monaco GP, Star Jacker, Sindbad Mystery, Doki Doki Penguin Land (in the Master System compatibility palette) and Ninja Princess
Apple, of all the icons you could've used for "Delete"... a checkmark? Really?
clearly edited by a polygonist, click into the article and it will immediately tell you this is a three-dimensional rendering technique
Today's Random Game Saturday is King of Fighters '94 Rebout, the 10th anniversary remake for the PS2! This game's upscaled sprites weren't very well-received, which probably is what led to the much more elaborate redrawn sprites in King of Fighters XII and XIII...
Pro tip! If you're thinking of getting a Nintendo Color TV Game 6 or 15 because newer game systems are so expensive, make sure you get the variant with the "V" at the end of the serial number, not the "S". Otherwise you won't have true potentiometer controls! nicole.express/2023/not-ano...
oh man four games in one cartridge? how could i not (but everyone knows we're mostly here for dizzy egg)
This "Random Game Saturday" game is Devil World for the Famicom! Never released in the US because satanic cults were very powerful (or so I'm told) and would've opposed it. This one has "Miyamoto" written on the back; though Shigeru Miyamoto did work on this, I strongly doubt it's his signature lol
wait rosetta is going to become exclusive to some unspecified games? that's... incredibly obnoxious like i get apple removing backwards compatibility but if you're keeping it anyway for some games
fun fact: the master system game "Shanghai" does not work with the Genesis controller... unless you use a Japanese console the game was never released in Japan
