All around transportation and urban planning wonk in beautiful Portland, OR. Civil engineer by day. Father, husband, and proud member of a car-free family. Thoughts my own
The chum on KGW’s website is so thick I physically can’t access the content their own journalists spend so much time working on
Let’s make Inner Eastside for ALL! (More housing, more biking, more affordability for Portlanders!) @portlandneighborswelcome.org @bikeloudpdx.bsky.social @strongtownspdx.bsky.social
My Roman Empire, I love to see this get more attention! Interstate corridor vastly favors freeway oriented development, not transit oriented development. Also see: greater heights allowed in the design overlay for blocks near the freeway vs near the MAX: www.portland.gov/code/33/500s...
You can just bike to PDX with your toddler to watch planes and drink a beer you know?
NGL this sounds pretty cool: “This summer, Away Days Brewing is transforming the Historic US National Bank Building in downtown Portland into the ultimate World Cup fan fest.” www.awaydaysbrewing.com/world-cup-2026
We’re literally staying there😅 it’s honestly been lovely so far (minus the dates getting wrong ha)
Dear this random building in Seattle: This is not the date “ Mrs Landes” won election becoming the first female mayor of a major American city… in fact it was 11 years prior in 1926…
Gotta be up there on one the simplest, cutest graphics for a walking advocacy org❤️ #oregonwalks
Bike + Bus journey to the new East County Library was a success! @trimet.bsky.social @multcolib.bsky.social
First time I’ve been downtown since pre pandemic where there’s that subtle buzz of people everywhere and a certain still only available when there’s so few cars
My favorite Portland architecture Woopsie are the two façades that almost match here at the Benson Hotel
I think the charm of St John’s would be so much more if it actually was its own city outside Portland. The St John’s pride and sense of place is unlike any part of Portland: a city already full of both for every corner within it
