I realized, one of my games were lost to time when I removed my old bluesky account. I figured out how to embed a game directly into Bluesky, an asteroids clone set in an universe where time doesn't exist. Now I'm releasing the remake! You can play it right here:
Waiting for my train. I don't know where all the time went, feels like I've only been in this town two hours Can recommend getting on a train randomly checking a place out. It's good for the soul
Info sign says chicken. These are the chicken. Why does everyone except my dog act like they're real? A person tried to feed them with grass
Dog on a train! We're going to Ockelbo, a small town next to a lake. I will accept quests from people in town, and also quests given on bluesky.
I did something wrong when converting from LDtk to my own level format (it'll be fixed soon) but behold, one of the most beautiful glitches I've ever produced
Cafe and dog! (The staff always gives her treats so she's happy even if it rains. Also there's a roof)
Games in development look weird. I've recorded a bunch of bugs and tests from the development, and put together this showcase A lot of it lacked audio so I did some modular synthesis stuff too :)
For soooooo many games, I've had this frustrating thing that my 0-based code mismatches that my game has three save files (1, 2, 3) In Rhythm Doggo, I FINALLY figured out the solution
@1neila1.bsky.social made the very nice key art for Rhythm Doggo, but also one of the sketches became both the application icon and a neat graphic that flashes by for a second during the game's start sequence
Today I made a realization Though I've made LOTS of sound effects with my modular rack, as well as instruments for my music software... I've never just simply composed a song with it. I think that got to change today, imma see if I can do the game's credits song with this thing.
Let me tell you about these small rooms: They exist outside the map. The player cannot reach them in any way except modding the game. So, what is its function, and why is there a dog in it? (1/n)
I'd like to try a new format for demoing algorithmic music stuff where I talk with my voice (which is scary)
A year ago I made a tool that tracks when I work on my game. Though I don't have a diagnosis, it's pretty clear what this thing is. I've fought against it most of my life and feel so much better after I just gave in to my inner clock. So I read a little about it (1/2)
Announcement: I'm teaming up with 505 Pulse for my game Rhythm Doggo. If you think you'd like it, please wishlist: store.steampowered.com/app/4090240/... Also there's a discord where we'll do playtesting discord.gg/3SG2ZxVeb The game's key art was made by @1neila1.bsky.social #gamedev #indiedev
One of my main skills is finding the best cafes (not a self portrait, that's not me in the picture, but actually my dog, Hotdog)
First milestone! I got my weird custom wobble antialiasing working with TextMeshPro (bluesky compression destroys it tho) UI Toolkit is ruled out because Unity bugs but the old reliable stuff they're planning to phase out is still around. It'll work for one last Unity game before I switch engine.
I set out to make a sound for my game with my modular synth. As is often the case with modular synthesis, ended up with a completely different sound! Now I'm using that!
...and finally, Lady with a Dog, by Mather Brown from the year 1786, downloaded from The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Open Access library. Googly eyes attached directly to the computer monitor. Boom, done. Professional indie game development \o/
Okay, I'm getting somewhere with this. Definitely starting to become a weird dog
I have a MIDI foot controller and long wanted to use it for "push to talk" in voice chat games Only, all "midi to key mapping" software I found had nonsensical UI. I figured it out tho, the answer is once again VCV Rack It takes mic audio, passes it to the software with a virtual audio device
