I went to see Supergirl yesterday, and, yes, as a film it is not well made. It suffers from very basic storytelling flaws, but the theme of Supergirl vs the Manosphere is a very important one, and the villain in that context really has Andrew Tate vibes.
Crisp/chip lovers, we've arrived! The quest for the ultimate blend of all the important food groups (fat, carbs, salt) can now be found in this bag.
Currently watching an excellent series called "Infiniti". A science/space themed political thriller. Languages are French, English and Russian.
This is him cheering on Trump's dissolution of the Department of Education.
Thinking about Germany and Deniz Undav, and how much the World Cup is a celebration of migration (see also the US team that Trump is trying to use to promote policies that would destroy that same team).

Now, I'm working with Google alternatives. My search engine is now the excellent Qwant, while Google Maps has been replaced by HereWeGo. 4/
Musk takeover of Twitter was when I left that shithole. The obvious replacement of Mastodon and then Bluesky once available. 3/
Next up was replacing another Meta app, What'sApp. The obvious choice is Signal. 2/
Cleansing my digital comms, a thread. First off was getting rid of Facebook followed by Instagram. Technically alternatives are available (Firendica & Pixelfed) but given the limited users they won't be an alternative w/o lots of hard work. Others below are easier. 1/
I always liked Hockney's paintings but I thought his photo montages were under appreciated.

Somewhere an advertising exec is proud of the fact that they have dumped so much shit in your brain and for such a long time that this works.
Currently watching the fascinating portrayal of the Mitford sisters, and thinking of getting a copy of Nancy Mitford's satire of British fascism from 1935 entitled Wigs on the Green.
If we are committed to democracy, we have to ween ourselves off US tech. We can start by moving from Google to Qwant, a very good French search engine.
