I reviewed Learning by Courtney Bush, a book that shows you that maybe children are relatable and wise and adults are the silly geese. (Not the psyop) open.substack.com/pub/zonamote...
For the early nothing weekend set. I didn't set out to review this book originally, but found that it elicited such a strong emotional reaction in me that I wanted to write about it to investigate that. This review is the result.
For the London contingent -- this Zona Motel reading in a couple weeks should be by all measures excellent. Featuring Iphgenia Baal, Lucy K Shaw, Paul Johnathan, @poppycockburn.bsky.social, and me
The way I RAN to get my ereader. Get in loser we're reading Bazterrica this weekend
This Tom Toro cartoon is old already (2012) yet feels more relevant each day!
Even poets get these AI-written marketing scam emails, but they don't even pretend to have read the book 😂 honestly, a nice touch, makes it more realistic

Of course James Van Der Beek is iconic in many roles but this Ke$ha music video is one of my favorite things he did. He seemed like a lot of fun. youtu.be/CFWX0hWCbng?...
Re-sharing this today! I wrote about an emerging millennial poetics of work, as represented through three great poetry books. fencedigital.com/2026/01/30/c...
Just watching old Tori videos for the free therapy. Top comment got it right
AWP heard I was thinking about not paying their fee because the bookfair is the only fun part anywayz, and was like "hold my beer"
Did I already share this, from @ginabird.bsky.social 's book WORKS AND DAYS? A book full of anticapitalist bangers
Update: this book is really good. Lit crit & political history combo and well written to boot. In the preface, Reade recalls an illuminating moment whilst teaching PL to his incarcerated students (who loved it while being lukewarm on Shakespeare) that became a catalyst for the book.
This just in: apparently I'm the parent and I can make them go to poetry readings
