Like to photograph things that catch my eye. All photographs are mine.
A lavender hedge for a private garden. It is one of the most fragrant hedges to walk past and lasts all summer into early autumn. 🌱🪻 During spring and early summer, the Mexican citrus blossom hedges provide heady fragrances. But that's for a future post. 📍Kensington, London W8
In honour of the late Chairman of David Austin Roses, who has passed away, I am posting this photo of The King's Rose, which was introduced by the company in 2025. 🌱🌹 The King's Rose was bred by the company in collaboration with The King's Foundation. 📍RHS Chelsea Flower Show, London SW3
Continuing the break from photos of roses, as I have more than a five hundred photos from last week alone, I decided to post this photo of a wildflower meadow. Spot the flowers. 🌱🌸🌼 📍St. James's Park, London SW1A
Taking a break from roses so as not to bore you. Here's a hollyhock plant from the front garden of a neighbour's house. 🌱🌸 The intense colour always takes my breath away. 📍South Kensington, London SW7
At the risk of taking on a moniker based on a rose, I present to you Rosa 'Gorgeous'. 🌱🌹 📍York Gate, The Regent's Park, London NW1
Dianthus 'Neon Star'. This variety is supposed to be a hardy variety that will last until autumn. 🌱🌸 Considering the weather we have at present in London and across the UK, I hope these plants will survive the season. 📍Hyde Park, London
Mainzer Fastnacht, better known as the Blue Moon hybrid tea rose, photographed when I was walking through Hyde Park after work. The sun was close to the horizon, which meant that my DSLR was able to use the less intense light to capture these beauties with a soft look. 🌱🌹 📍Hyde Park, London
Globe Thistle flowers, Echinops bannaticus, are a hypnotic distraction from the surrounding flowers. 🌱🪻 Photo taken last week as I was walking home from work one evening. The long days at this time of the year let me see such beauty when most people are eating dinner. 📍Hyde Park, London
The continuing heat wave is beginning to affect me, I can't help thinking about the time when summer was an enjoyable season. 🌱🌸 Thank you to everyone who has stopped by to see and like ❤️ my posts. It is very much appreciated, I have not been able to reciprocate. 📍Kensington Gardens, London
The white Agapanthus flowers are blooming in my neighbourhood. 🌱💮 📍South Kensington, London SW7
Rosa 'Kew Gardens' by David Austin Roses. 🌱🌹 Photo taken in the Hyde Park Rose Garden one recent evening when I was walking home after work. It is a benefit of the long hours of daylight we have at this time of the year as I can enjoy seeing the roses late in the day. 📍Hyde Park, London
We hold the stem and feel the sting, Of every unremembered spring. The fragrance fades into the night, Yet grief remains, a piercing light. 🌱🌹🏵 📍Santa Cruz, Bombay
Chrysanthemum 'Misty White'. Chrysanthemum 'Feeling Green'. 🌱💮 📍RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chelsea, London SW3
Iceberg floribunda rose bush in a friend's garden in Napa Valley. This variety flowers throughout the summer and into autumn (fall), which gives them many weeks of visual pleasure. 🌱🌹 📍Yountville, California, USA
Yes, it should be the spot. When I searched on Google Lens, it gave me a different result (see screenshot)! A second search gave the same result as you had.
The golden summer sunshine of California. 🌞 Photo taken on this day 12 years ago from a spot adjacent to Interstate Highway 280 (I-280). If I were able to go past this spot again, I wonder if I would remember it. 📍I-280 California, USA
Another heatwave is about to begin. If it hadn't been for the heatwaves, the dahlia flowers would have indicated the arrival of summer. 🌱🏵 The reputation of England being a land of gentle summer rain is no longer merited. 📍Chelsea, London SW3
The floral moon for Chelsea In Bloom Out Of This World 2026. 🌜🌱🏵 📍King's Road, Chelsea, London SW3
Clematis 'Tie Dye' flowers in Hyde Park. One of the gardeners gave me the name of the variety. Apparently it is characterised by the marble effect on the petals. Photo taken a few days ago with a Canon DSLR. 🌱🌸 📍Hyde Park Rose Garden, London
If it wasn't for the heat waves, of which we have another one about to start, then these beautiful hollyhock flowers would be the definitive indication of summer being here. 🌱🌸🌞 📍South Kensington, London SW7
A glorious display of many varieties of fuchsia flowers at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. 🌱🌸🏵 This post is dedicated to Mary @mjwyatt.bsky.social because she likes these flowers. 📍Royal Hospital Grounds, Chelsea, London SW3
Chelsea In Bloom 2025 'Flowers In Fashion' featured this exquisite floral display at the entrance of a luxury hotel. It is not normal for me to have an outright favourite, but this one could have been it. 🌱🌹🌸💮🏵 📍Chelsea, London SW3
For Chelsea In Bloom 2026, in keeping with the theme 'Out Of This World', this store had a floral display mostly with dried flowers and the strap line, "An orbit of every day life, centred on quiet confidence". 🌱🏵 Zoom in to see the flowers. 📍King's Road, Chelsea, London SW3
Rosamundi Gallica on display at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. 🌱🌹 📍Royal Hospital Grounds, Chelsea, London SW3
The burning heat in London has me longing for my favourite season, filled with beautiful flowers and cool weather, accompanied by occasional sunshine. 🌱🌸🏵 📍Kensington Gardens, London
Rosa 'Lady of Shalott' by David Austin Roses. Also known as Rosa 'Ausnyson'. 🌱🌹 📍Hyde Park Rose Garden, London
The sun (centre top), the moon (left) and a unicorn (right) were the key components of this floral display for Chelsea In Bloom 2026: Out Of This World. In the next few weeks, I hope to post closeups. 🌱🌞🌙🦄🏵🌸🌱 📍King's Road, Chelsea, London SW3
Going back in time to 23 June 2020. The spider flower (Cleome hassleriana) 'Violet Queen' in bloom. They were a delight to see in Kensington Gardens, basking in the sun. They have not planted these since then, but it would be nice to see them again one day. 🌱🪻 📍Kensington Gardens, London
