I couldn’t QT the original post of this so I’m just going to comment on it directly: We are being told we don’t know this history of a political party or movement from someone who identifies as a DEMOCRAT
So is there a specific position at the NYT for writing incredibly obvious articles or does someone kind of find that as their niche over time?
My wife and I qualified for low income housing in Seattle 10 years ago when both of us had graduate degrees and were both employed (teacher and museum professional, respectively)
We received a political questionnaire from a non-partisan group in the mail, and idk some of the questions seemed a little leading to me

No group of people is perfect, so miss me with any whataboutism. But this absolutely resonates with my experiences with Muslims and Arabs I am around every single day. When my fiends are showing me how close bombs have come to their parent’s homes, I think “what would I do? How would I react?”
We need more anti Republican action, not less. Hatred of old white racist Christian nationalists is rational.
