Good morning! A stormy Monday here on the coast of southern New England.
Well, I expect the sea and sky on my morning walks, but a dozen baby goats was a new thing! They are in an overgrown yard and eating everything, of course.
I have a very similar fur baby! (He was born in a barn from a feral stray.) I have his brother too—black nose!
Things are so awful in the world right now, living here is the only thing that keeps me sane.
Same with my 15 year old. End-stage kidney disease. Not my first rodeo with this disease. He dutifully eats his special food but he’s wasting away. I’m cherishing every moment with him.
I love the incoming storm clouds. The rain hasn’t started yet but soon. Just finished a long walk on the beach a short distance from here. Saw the osprey diving for fish. 😊
I’ve had a migraine from hell all day and I thought of you. Luckily I have 2 male “nurses.”
I have 2 siblings born feral in a barn. They turn 15 next month!
Took a walk on the beach today and saw a loon (winter plumage).
I took a walk even though it was wet, gray, and chilly. Still lovely.
That’s me tomorrow. For many hours. Somewhere between 2-3 feet. Hard to tell with the drifts and all of my windows completely caked with snow.
One of my gray tuxedos (waving) with his sister in younger days, over 10 yrs ago. The girl passed from cancer but I still have the gray tuxedo and his almost identical brother. They were part of a litter of 4 feral kittens born in a barn. My ex still has the solid black void brother (not pictured).
The only turkey (or meat) in my house is for my feline carnivores as well! Happy Thanksgiving!
PITA posing panther-like. He’s almost 15 and a bit creaky. I leave drawers open an inch so he can gain purpose with his back legs. Bought him a small ramp. He refused to use it.
Is it any wonder that I fell off the bed yesterday morning? My beasts (I’ve 2) are 20 pound monsters. Not overweight, just huge. And they SPRAWL in the bed. I should be grateful that I didn’t break a hip!
