I just started The September House audiobook and I'm already hooked! Such a great opening.
Post a PERFECT album from the 90s that isn't Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains:
It's Lottery Day! What's your favorite Lottery tradition? I hope you don't get the black spot! #ShirleyJackson
Looking over photos of StokerCon and now I'm filled with a profound sadness that I'm not going to see so many of my spookiest friends for another year.
Had the privilege of looking through some incredible documents at the University of Pittsburgh Hillman library horror archive today and had to scrape myself off the floor when I handled copies of two different versions of the Alien script (among many other incredible things).
#TIL that each version of VLC media player is named after a different Discworld character. They already had my undying love, but this somehow increases that.
The Booth at the End. A surprisingly gripping thriller, very short 2 seasons, that got almost no attention. I watched season 1 in a single sitting.
Aww yeah, I got my first issue of The End Times! Unique approach to apocalyptic storytelling, from Stephen King and Benjamin Percy? Hell yeah. Can't wait for issue 2!
Quite possibly the greatest carved pumpkin of all time. #ifyouknowyouknow
I forgot to post Halloween costume photos! Here's my family- my son as Aang, my daughter as Toph, my wife as Appa, and yours truly as Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Utah horror lovers, come to the Utah Horror Day (especially the Dread Mondays launch party and grab a copy while you're there)!
My wife and I went to Fear Factory in Salt Lake City and had fun. Didn't deliver quite at the level of spooky I wanted, but had some solid scares throughout.
A friendly reminder to pre-order Dread Mondays to read the twisted little short story that @drspookyer.bsky.social and I wrote featuring video rentals and disturbing found footage!
Are we seriously calling these skeets? Because that gives this energy.
I had these soup dumplings the first night of #Stokercon with @drspookyer.bsky.social and Catlyn Ladd and I am pretty sure all of us are going to be thinking about them fondly for years to come.
Spent all weekend hanging with my hilarious and talented co-host/friend @drspookyer.bsky.social at #StokerCon!
