Current knitting project - a replica of the long scarf Tom Baker wore in his final season as Doctor Who. It's about 2m20 so far, which is roughly 40% done, but I think it's coming along nicely. Pattern from www.doctorwhoscarf.com/s18.html

Hmm. I seem to have signed up to go to something next month that will require me to camp in a tent for the first time in this millennium. I'm really not sure about this. However, it'll be a weekend in a park in Herefordshire rather than a fortnight on a campsite on the west coast of Scotland.

A new tent, allegedly suitable for four people, but presumably not comfortably. It's blue, and has an air mattress inside.

Day 4 of this latest shift in the exam mines. But I have a nice fountain pen (Jinhao X450) and ink (Waterman "Audacious Red") to make the task slightly less grueling. Honorary Assistant Module Leader Pudding supervises, and I have a fun book about lesbian necromancers to read every 10 scripts or so.

A tale of two bird apps. One (Duolingo) is a frankly abusive language-learning programme that threatens me with unspecified consequences if I don't practice French every day. And the other (Finch) is a wellbeing app with a friendly little bird who encourages me to believe in myself.
