I have a suggestion for immigration policy. It similar to Canada merit-based while adding birthright citizenship. At the same time hopefully mitigating anchor-birth concerns. (An Ai helped me organize this; I included the initial prompt)
I recall Scott Meyer’s Magic 2.0 series where reality is a simulation, so these nerds invent a macro system to change parts of the file & appear to use magic using Esperanto. System wouldn’t recognize the spell unless you wore a specific wizarding outfit.
