Transplant from Post, where we proved that kind and healthy social media is possible! I hope it is here, too. 🥰 Dogs cats, nature, deer, gardening, cooking, peace, well-being, together. Posts are by Katherine, hospice chaplain and Quaker pastor.
Earlier this summer, my daughter brought over five fledgling sunflowers that she needed to re-home, and the first one opened today! It is unique and beautiful, just like her. 🥰 #grateful #gardening
Hot day, cool treat. And super easy too. ☺️ #itsthelittlethings
I appreciate your posts, Ben! I am reading these now because of your post on Anne Conway a couple of weeks ago. ☺️
Quiet family breakfast. They have me trained now. Each morning around 7:15, I put seed in the feeder for mama and on the ground for the three kids. They are here within minutes. All goes well unless Gloria notices, and even then, the babies are beginning to learn that her barks don't mean danger. 😂
I am enamored with these buttery yellow roses this year. Also I am purposely documenting their loveliness because we have a hungry young deer this year who has come along and eaten (!) every bloom on my salmon and pink rose bushes. Bit them keep off and left nothing but the leaves behind! Rascal.
Good morning! The roses seem extra happy today. 🥰 #grateful
It was a busy morning! Mama raccoon brought her three babies for a lesson in foraging for seed and finding clean(ish) water. One baby was independent, going off and coming back; another was skittish, scampering up the tree at any new noise. The other stayed by mama's side, doing what she did. 🥰
Had to do a late night emergency rug cleaning last night because somebody (Olive) apparently thought it was too hot to go outside to pee. Why do they now lay on the sheet covering the cleaned area like they are somehow triumphant?! Galling. 😂 #itstoohot
Good morning from Olive, who says it's a good day for comfort. 🥰
Wait a minute. (Actually that's quite an accomplishment for a chipmunk. 😂)
Gloria gets anxious with transitions, and we've had Many! Loud! Barks! to house noises (footsteps, running water, door closing) now that my granddaughter is home. So it was time to get out her ThunderShirt. It does help! And it's better than meds, which just seem to make her (and me) sad. 💕
A west-facing bedroom window chose today to fall apart. Rain is coming at 6pm. I did my best to secure the middle bar so it wouldn't fall any further and covered the top gap with Press and Seal. 😂 Let's hope it holds! File it under "necessity is the mother of." 🤣🤞[PS: Also texted a handyman ]
Happy Father's Day to all dads, grandpas, and caring others who've added good dad energy to others' lives. 💕 This is a poem I wrote right after my dad passed in 2007. I still miss him, hear his voice calling me "dear," and feel the soft curls of his beard against my cheek. 🥰
