Or, you can pickup a vintage Nikkor Auto 28mm f/2 for $250 and use the remaining $2550 for film and processing! Nothing improved my work as much as shooting film on a Nikon F with 60’s era prime lenses. It’s like driving with a manual transmission—but, for PHOTOGRAPHERS!

I totally agree about it being the best manual-focus Nikon body ever. It’s a really useful feature to have that electronic rangefinder to double check your focus when using Ai-S lenses. My 105mm f/1.8 balances and functions so well on an F4—and I get matrix metering on manual glass!!
I have lots of cameras, but my pair of Nikon F’s are my absolute favorite to shoot.
The FE is such a beautiful camera. I’d like to have one someday day. I’ve been shooting a lot lately with a Nikon F and it’s just been amazing. Nikon is the best. Your work it great! Love it!
