Ghally's, conversely, was very heavy on lineart. Colors were harder to tackle here because the character is one huge cluster of pink pillows! It's a good reminder about the importance of having accent colors to break the *mass* up a bit, hah. Honestly, not something I've paid much mind till now.
As I promised last time, I recorded a timeline of the 2 colored cleanups I did at the end of this comm batch. I had a different approach with each of the comms. Tian's was more about keeping lineart to a minimum and just letting the colors do the work. End result is soft yet quite bold.
This one is new. Had it sitting in my files for months cuz I kinda disliked how derivative it is from the original (ass shots, yay) Still, I need to de-rust on the coloring department. Felt almost poetic that this would be one of the ones to work on. Then I got carried away with alts, ofc! 😎
I don't actually remember if I ever uploading this 2024 one here, pardon if I have. It was the inception point of the cleaner coloring style that I've been working on since. Still quite proud of it. Went thru several drafts before settling on it, but these 2 were my favorite from the batch.
There's also this version with a slightly bigger upper body Made before Cory asked her legs to be BIGGER (as one does)
Both are sorta follow up to some of the wackier alts I drew during Cas's comm. In my defense it was 5-6 am and I was severely sleep deprived. Griefing my own drawing is entirely justified!
