Yesterday I went to a beading embroidery workshop and now I have a baseball on a tote bag :)

A rotor bag in an embroidery hoop; a baseball made with beads; White for the outside and red for the stitching. A needle is stuck in the fabric and there is the outline of a hockey stick to be added later

Oatmeal: cook on low for 8 hours. My sister and I prefer just dried cherries instead - any dried fruit is good! She also doubles the recipe.

Ingredients:

Nonstick cooking spray
4 3/4 cups water
1 1/2 cups steel-cut oats
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1/3 cup golden raisins
1/3 cup dried cranberries
1/3 cup chopped dried pears
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or Chinese five-spice powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
Milk (optional)

My cat, Gallant, loves vegetables and bread. I remind him he’s an obligate carnivore at least once a week! (The only time he’s ever growled at us is when he steals bread and we try to get it back. He once stole a bag of bread ends from the counter and took it to his bed)
