Our most ambitious exhibition in nearly 20 years, 'American Stories' is drawing widespread attention for its powerful exploration of the American experience. Featuring works from the nation’s founding to Rockwell and beyond, it invites visitors to explore history, identity, and imagination.
Our complementary exhibition "Norman Rockwell Paints the Presidents" is now on view on the lower level of the Museum! This exhibition features original presidential portraits along with correspondence, artifacts, and memorabilia that illuminate his intersections with the presidents of his time.
Jefferson’s legacy is complex. On Tuesday, July 7, NRM presents “Jefferson’s Children: Reflecting on the Complex Legacy of America at 250,” featuring photojournalist/author Jane Feldman and Shannon LaNier, a Jefferson–Hemings descendant, discussing history, reconciliation, and a better path forward
