national park number 4: arches, moab, utah zoom in on the first picture!!
i did a 2-mile hike through a canyon to these petroglyphs yesterday and it was genuinely such an emotional experience. the universal human capacity to make art across all cultures and time periods is so beautiful
was trying to take a picture of the hiking trail yesterday and got photobombed by a bird in the best way possible
national park number 1: rocky mountain national park, estes park, colorado
successfully drove from chicago to colorado in one day and i am so, so sore
stopped at the world’s largest truck stop in the middle of a 1,000-mile single-day drive from chicago to the rocky mountains and this place is ridiculous
sometimes people will make reference to my sexuality without me ever having explicitly mentioned anything about it to them before and i’ll be like “how did you know” until i remember i look like this
my favorite part about making my new website was creating all these little details based on different 1980s design trends
spent a lot of the past month coding a new personal website from scratch designed to look like it’s from the early 1980s, and it’s finally done!! come keep up with my photo and video work at northofnorth.art mobile screenshots:
apologies for the erratic health issues and continual exhaustion i’ve been suffering from over the past few months my friends… i deep-cleaned my closet for the first time since january and found this had somehow grown all over the wall behind my storage cubes
i’m not exaggerating btw the last couple days have been so beautiful i really did write a poem about it
i am at most only one beautiful summer afternoon away from starting to compose poetry in my head about how chicago is one of the greatest cities on the planet
every time i’m in this area i gotta stop by one of my favorite views of the city from the north side
wanted to make a highlight reel of all the stuff i did in college but presented in a novel way so i spent a couple days making it look like you’re browsing cable tv in the year 2006
after 7 years, transitioning, beating cancer, and much more, i FINALLY GRADUATED COLLEGE!! you can do anything!!!!
happy international workers day from chicago! today commemorates the 115 workers injured and eight who lost their lives fighting for the eight-hour work day after someone threw a bomb and the police open fired on civilians during a peaceful protest in west loop’s haymarket square
woke up this morning to find a model of the original world trade center in the trash. what does this mean
one of those days that makes you endlessly grateful you live in one of the most beautiful cities on earth
my roommate recently bought a 3d printer and has been using it to colonize my table with a rapidly expanding scale model of downtown chicago. they say they want it to eventually be 4x this size and i fear for what will happen when it inevitably outgrows this small platform
i love how the chicago river will just naturally turn colors that look fake
the 3600sq ft single-family home in ravenswood that used to be a fire station is for sale now, in case any of you chicagoans out there want to live out your childhood dreams for a cool $1.9 million
some of the most unbelievable live images i’ve ever seen and they haven’t even left low earth orbit yet
legitimately the single most mind-blowing thing i’ve ever watched live
happy trans day of visibility… do you all fw trans women who are also a little bit masc
