Nostalgist's Archive
@nostalgistsarchive
I scan and archive various things for the sake of preservation, and for people to see! Loud Reposter. Dm me if you want to donate anything to scan!
I hate that this sort of thing is becoming normalized in the community, and hand-waived away because they're free core updates.
Indeed, this isn't the best look for that either... ugh.
Finally an accurate display for the Vita Devkit's HDMI out!
Reject Steam Controller, embrace Super Famicom NTT Data Pad.
I keep meaning to watch this one, as it was in one of my Japanese lots of Video 8 tapes to document.
Share this with everyone you know that has an Ultrawide monitor and a MiSTer.
Definitely not worth the effort trying to change his mind. Too far on the "AI music/art hate is elitist" bandwagon.
I'm feeling good about what Fluxer is doing so go ahead and add me if you want, would prefer mutuals but I'm open for just chats too.
As the kids say "His fit goes hard". No, I haven't watched this yet.
Stolen from the My Life in Gaming Discord. A perfect description of the Direct.
This is what preservation of an entire media format looks like. The steps afterwards are letting go of the actual item after everything has been documented, or in this case a few additional ring codes need to be obtained. Sending to another person in our group that will keep some or send elsewhere.
Another thing about Dragonheart for Game Boy is because of how nondescript the cartridge art is, it usually blends in. Chances are you've seen it at any local game store or event.
Oh hello there, oddly modified Atari Lynx from Child's Play 3 from 1991.
Pretty sure I'll be on the only person at Portland Retro Gaming Expo with this hat. If you see me, be sure to say hi!
Recent watch for me too! I have the Japanese Laserdisc.
Oh and also the Yoshi's Safari art exists and made it outside of this ad scan. It actually sold relatively recently. The store display Vidpro card with the rushed unused art.
This release of Mario & Wario is likely the unreleased localization that was reviewed and demoed in gaming magazines. It also weirdly had an ad placement as part of a Canadian cereal campaign. @snescentral.com for the scans and additional info.
Something I don't think I've shown apart from a few discords that I'm in is this. It's a banner from the Coca Cola Final Fantasy promotion and contest, got it years ago randomly from Mercari while importing something else and the seller also had this for sale.
