Still persistent, still irritating
》Well! An egg (eggs?) has /have hatched! I have no photos yet, but Ruth has seen a chick being fed, so fingers crossed! But! Who is this guy and why are they in my tree?! #dangerlurkseverywhere #NotMyCat !!! 2/2
Re last RT: the bonus of having so many trees near the house is we get this happening just outside Ruth's window. They are blissfully unaware of us, in spite of the row of cats, watching them like television
I think you are lost little friend! There is no water around here except for the bird bath
Saw my older brother yesterday. He's been growing potatoes 🥔 A precious memory for his son: fresh from the soil, straight to the table
I think poor Magpie has lost the plot in the heat. The cats and the dog don't mix well - Lupin is basically jealous of them - but for some reason poor Magpie just strolled into the room Lupin and I were in. I think "kerfuffle" is the polite word for what followed Some may say shit storm
The Wren in dad's garden has been singing his heart out.. As his betrothed, i have safely gathered up his small, fluttering heart, and gently returned it to him
If you see this post an image of a vampire that isn't Dracula x
I'm in The Village up on a hill. There is a lovely breeze. If only it would stay like this...
A year ago today my dad died. Peacefully, he just stopped breathing, and the Red Kites sang him away to his eternal rest. Love and strength to anyone else for whom Father's Day is hard 💗
I may have overdone it with the croc emoji things. Just trying to cheer myself up you know
》god knows why I'm telling you poor sods this. You all have your own troubles. Here is a nice picture to make up for it
The grass under the tree where my betrothed lives. I am staying another day because Mum is still a bit shaken. Then I have to go home tomorrow because Min has another one of those "is it time yet" visits to the kind vet 💔
There is a Wren who lives in the rose bush that intertwines with the ancient apple tree in dad's garden. His song is unspeakably beautiful. He has asked for my hand in marriage I have, of course accepted He brought me this as a sign of our betrothal
Lovely Magpie I have had him since 2015. He thought Min was his mum because he was a 4 week old rescue. Then he was a great foster father to the others, Swift and Erwin. He knows I am sad, if not why
The world's tiniest sharps bin arrived today, for Min. It is so very small compared to the massive ones I used to use at work A tiny thing for a tiny life
I've had to devote the main fan to Lupin, because she has a double coat. Luckily I remembered this excellent little fella. From John Lewis. Got me through dad's funeral last year during a heatwave. Fantastic little thing
The impossibly tiny Wren lives in this self seeded damson tree I see him swerve and twist like a butterfly I have sat here for hours but I can never spot his nest His tiny home
Back home in the peace of my dad's garden Although these pretty little geums are actually my mum's
Rosa Rugosa, beautiful, transient clove scented pink flowers, followed by massive red, globular hips
