I had completely forgotten that I ordered this after seeing a post by @andrewmale.bsky.social a few months ago. A gorgeous album that I had no idea even existed. Lovely soft psychedelia from a Japanese artist based in the US from 1968.

#NowPlaying I hadn't realised it would have been Bon's 80th today until I saw Glenn's post. I bought this when I was 11-years-old and it still sounds just as great 41 years later. There is a purity with this band that is so rare for an Enromodome type band.

#NowPlaying There aren't many bands who have unreleased songs of the same quality & quantity as The Velvet Underground. This contains some of my favourite songs of theirs, and doesn't suffer from the 'modern' touches that were added to the VU album in 1985.
Reading Festival 1983. A baffling yet almost decent line-up. Sad Café, though? My mum liked them, but I always found them so boring.
I picked this Memphis Minnie album up in Antwerp last year. Despite having loads of sleevenotes, it doesn't say when it was released. The notes refer to her the present tense & mention her having had a stroke, so it must be between 1963 & 1973 when she died. Discogs doesn't know either. Anybody?
99.9% sure that this hasn't been out of its sleeve since around 1989. It doesn't even have a barcode despite being a 1987 release.

This evening's concert was a total thrill. Saint Etienne were incredible and Belle & Sebastian were fab. They played If You're Feeling Sinister in full before a greatest hits session culminating in them inviting around 40 audience members onto the stage. A great venue & a lovely mixed crowd.

Today is the 50th birthday of my beautiful wife @alsalv.bsky.social When we hooked up, she was only 20! Time flies when you're having fun.
