Name a TV show you're positive no one remembers but you. I was devastated when Emerald City was cancelled. It was lush and inventive and I wanted to learn all the secrets OZ was holding. Tarsem Singh directed this brilliantly dark version of OZ and I loved every moment.
I'm depressed and angry so I'm reading The Color Of Law, which is all about how federal, state, and local governments ensured residential segregation troves to this day. And how unconstitutional all these laws and policies are.
I'm weaving in all the ends on a rainbow scarf I knit for @arajellybean.bsky.social. I don't usually enjoy weaving in ends but right now it's soothing.
Here is Gauge in his watermelon neck pillow. He's wearing it so he doesn't lick at the sutures on his tail where a big skin tag was removed.
Here is Gauge, my snuggly love who helps me cope with my very bad pain days. I hope those future meds help a lot.
Gauge would like to share his tea dragon plushie with you. It helps him cope with really bad days, and he thinks it might help you as well.
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some Zen to the timeline
If you are in Emmer's district, please call him repeatedly and often to tell him he's full of shit. Read the linked article and if your rep is a co sponsor maybe call them as well emmer.house.gov/media-center...
115. This chaos gremlin trying to hid in the long grass and totally succeeding. Or so his mother led him to believe.
88. Meet Charlie. Charlie was the bane of Velcro Dog's existence, but Gauge just wants to play with him. We call all chipmunks Charlie, so don't be concerned that we have an immortal chipmunk living in our yard.
82. Speaking of water, we stopped often on that trip to Alberta in 2019 just so I could see views like this. I believe this is Athabasca Falls in Jasper National Park. I didn't have location services turned on for my phone so I don't recall for certain.
74. I know I post a lot about my dog, but look at him! He is the absolute light of my life. Also he stole Speedy the Koala from me and it's the most amusing thing to watch him carry Speedy around. Especially if you're familiar with @kbspangler.com and @alepresser.com's webcomic.
73. These crocheted hedgehogs were made by Crysta Parkinson because one day I posted a link to a pattern on Ravelry and bemoaned the fact I don't know how to crochet. Every day I see them they bring me joy.
I am a nature girly and I live seeing wildlife. One of my favorite things is spotting beavers and beaver lodges. This one is from 2019 and is just outside of Hinton, Alberta Canada.
30. Every time I am near or in the Pacific ocean I feel like I'm greeting a friend. When we went to Hawaii we spent as much time being near her as we could just because it makes me feel happy and safe.
12. Gauge told me to tell you that he is definitely brings me the most joy.
10. In 2019 we spent some time in Banff National Park. This picture of Peyto Lake I took with my iPhone remains on of my favorite things.
This little shit is feeling so much better today. I gave him some kibble for first lunch and am saving the canned food for his dinner. I'm relieved, but will be even more relieved when he finally poops again
Here he is just sleeping. This is not his normal activity level so I know he's feeling rough. Hopefully the sleep is helping.
"Post a perfect album from the 90s that isn’t nirvana, sound garden, pearl jam, Alice in chains."
I'm laughing so hard because I use mine far longer than 30 minutes a day and keep WiFi on because I also read on my phone and like to have everything sync. I can go a week before I need to charge. I can go two to three if I keep it in airplane mode. Per Kobo I could go 40 days if I read less.
