We're still in the green so far for AQ, even though it is pretty obvious the high level smoke has arrived.
No whale sightings, but did spy a couple of other @ferries.wsdot.wa.gov in their natural habitat.
Why I'm still up here instead of visiting my mom. Monsoonal flow looks like it may pick up next week.
Torrey, Utah had an air quality of 500 before the sensor seems to have croaked. Last year it was the Monroe Fire, this year the Cottonwood Fire.
They seem to be doing a purge. I woke up to this today. Poor little gay porn star Seth Rose/Corey D. is a hypocritical snowflake feeling threatened by this from 2025. I did not opt to remove it. We'll see what happens.
Anyone else getting a spate of spam calls from Fall City, WA? Every time I block one, a new one shows up the next day. 🤬
Just got a long text from my mom about how monster cat is - shockingly - being a monster today. There's a reason I call her monster cat, no matter how damned cute she is.
I got the postcard from WA DOL that my driver's license expires in 60 days. I find it interesting that they barely mention Real ID & don't give the fee for that, but they do give the fees for a reg license, the enhanced license, as well as a motorcycle license & a CDL.
When you've been doing this all weekend & you still have to do laundry AND sit down & grade & plan so you can teach tomorrow. 😐
That's why I'm focusing on home projects right now. Got some lighting hung & 2 of my 3 IKEA wardrobes installed in my weird converted deck room in my condo. Busy all day, tired enough to crash at night. Plus lots of walking, & I only take my old iPod - just music, no internet access.
All my fosters who were torties definitely were, including the one that required shelter workers to "suit up" to catch her in the free roaming room & get her in a large dog crate. She screamed & howled & bit them, but was (mostly) friendly when I got her home.
Also picked up a singleton of this to try. Happy to see such a huge selection of Yonder Cider there, BTW.
Cashier at the Trader Joe's in Greenwood (Seattle) calling my old cloth TJ's bags "vintage". 😐
Installed & grouted part of the tile floor in my soon-to-be utility room so I can get my IKEA wardrobes put together & installed along the wall for storage. Once I get the boxes out of the way, I can finish the floor. My back is not thrilled with me tonight tho. 🤷♀️
Reminded again & again why I cannot stand @theatlantic.com. Same ones who platformed an unqualified wealthy white economist to dish out her BS opinions on a public health emergency like COVID & downplay the severity & risk.
Always a good time to read these Dave Neiwert books to understand what is going on with America.
So they opted to let us into our rooms for 4 hours this morning instead of attending a mtg, but we're on emergency backup power, no internet, only 1 functioning bathroom (no lights), & our rooms are filthy. Then we're headed to another school for our mtg.
