Flowers out front this morning. Summer isn't my favorite season but it has its graces. #BloomScrolling #flowers

Currently trying to get an injured great blue heron some wildlife rehab help. It’s on my neighbor’s property but I’m the nature person so they kind of expect me to handle it. I have a call out to a volunteer organization that sends someone to catch it and transport it.

Happy Caturday! Bridget is still unhappy that I won’t open windows because of wildfire smoke so I explained to her that it boils down to lack of political will to address climate change and now she’s decided to run for public office. #caturday #cats #CatsOfBlueSky

The Atmotube Pro air quality monitor I have measures #airquality on a scale from 1 to 100 With 100 being excellent. Today it’s showing me a 30 air quality score and saying Very Polluted. Poor Bridget, whomst cat, is distressed that she can’t get through to me that she wants the windows open

Queen of the prairie, Filipendula rubra, in the garden right now. A native plant, basically a very tall pink meadowsweet. I think it should be renamed queen of the faerie tbh #flowers #BloomScrolling #gardening

A lively garden scene with filament of different shades of green and shapes and textures, patches of sun lighting some bits. Just above the center of the picture is a large flat and somewhat irregular mass of bloom made up of tiny flowers that have a fuzzy look. They are a bright and pleasing pink variously shaded and softly lit. The leaves lower on the stem are five fingered and a lively spring green. A beautiful scene.

Current status on the weather app. Just look at that “Feels Like” temperature. I’m thinking of asking the outdoor plants to line up and come inside one by one to be watered instead of going out for my usual afternoon watering. #weather #HeatWave

On the front porch this morning. I feel like I should be offering these top performers some kind of reward like maybe stocks or profit sharing. Sadly all I have for them is water and once in a while some plant food. #flowers #BloomScrolling #gardening

In each bucket is a different plant that's flowering profusely, all in shades of pink, blue, orange, yellow and white. in the foreground is an overflowing hanging basket full of calibrachoas like little petunia flowers, mixed in bright yellow, purple and pink blooming so profusely that the basket looks like a globe of flowers. Found as I go through the attic: a piece of art I did when I was 17 or 18 in elective art class, a ceramic sun mounted on burlap, which was originally light blue. One ray is now broken but it’s held up pretty well otherwise. I didn’t know we still had it! #ar

A front porch painted lavender/periwinkle, the wall behind it sage green with dark green shutters. The porch railings are a light buttery yellow and are hung with buckets in pastel colors: yellow, lavender, turquoise and pink, each with a plant blooming in a bright color. A hanging basket on the right is blooming in shades of purple, pink and yellow. From one of the shutters hangs a rainbow windsock blowing in the breeze and at the top of the railing on the left is a plaque of a greenman face. The Orange
At lunchtime I bought a huge orange-The size of it made us all laugh.
I peeled it and shared it with Robert and Dave—
They got quarters and I got a half.
And that orange, it made me so happy,
As ordinary things often do
Just lately. The shopping. A walk in the park.
This is peace and contentment. It's new.
The rest of the day was quite easy.
I did all the jobs on my list
And enjoyed them and had some time over.
Ilove you. I'm glad I exist.

A strikingly marked tan, orange and black classic tabby cat with white paws, a white chin and bib and a white stripe down her nose, reclining on a deep rust colored sofa but with her head and shoulders up and front paws demurely crossed. She is looking up and off to the left, her ears up, her pupils large and her whisker pads round and pushing her whiskers forward. It’s as if she knows that the kilim pillows and the dark green blanket set her off perfectly. She combines a look of contentedness with always expecting something even better.
