Some hours, several drinks, and many, many crucible matches later, Fermata-11 would wake to find themselves kneeling in place on an ossified plate. The room was dark, but the airy space above glittered beautifully with the luminous wingbeats of thousands of lucent moths. Brilliant crimson cascades of dauntingly alien flora laid a-drape over nearly every feature of the chamber (no doubt functioning as a welcome refuge for the little winged beasts), while moth-dust collected up in the corners threw a cold glow on the darkest edges of a gathered entourage. To the exo's surprise, the floor showed some evidence of haphazard tidying… Something that hive are not very well known to do.
Around them, a small legion of armed and finely clad hive knights fit with thorny, organic, armaments, stood at attention in a tight perimeter. This number of Hive was not usually a problem for Fermata, who noted that they were not even fitted with restraints. However, the sheer size of the knight whose approach momentarily parted their ranks? That was indeed a problem that discouraged them from jumping to action too hastily.
He knelt before the exo almost piously, bringing his uncovered face down to theirs. Abrupt recognition flashed in their mind,
“Ur-Mazak? To what transgression do I owe this treatment! Surely, I haven’t insulted you. Have I?”
They struggled to approximate a smile at their companion, though the terrifying arrangement of blade-like teeth in their jaws certainly did them no favors. The dagger-like teeth showing from between Annûn Ur-Mazak’s mandibles had a likewise effect.
